What the hell is that designer on? The curve of the Apple logo isn't even close to the curve of the NYC apple!

If you were to remove the Apple logo, I wouldn't even see the resemblence (because there isn't one). I hope Apple gets crushed in court.

True. But do you think even Apple could finance the amount to purchase Microsoft? Also bear in mind that there is no way in hell any government would approve a purchase of Microsoft by Apple, or Apple by Microsoft.

No, because there is still large competition in the field (Google, AOL)

Yeah, but the Discussion2 from 3 days ago was AJAX driven too, and unlike this new crap didn't constantly throw errors like "This resource is no longer valid. Please start from the beginning" when doing stuff like moderating (and yes, refreshing the page is the only way to get the ability to moderate or post when this happens)

Yes, they've changed the whole discussion system again. And yes, the new system sucks even more than the old one. Which sucked considerably, compared to the even older one. You get the idea.

Then again, what the hell are idiots sending templates to people for?

Sure, there was highly-intense lobbying, and I personally think that anti-trust laws were probably violated in all the countries were so many Microsoft gold partner companies participated in the decision-making process that their sheer number had a significant influence on the outcome. That's not illegal, unless you're saying that any party that has any interest whatsoever in the topic at hand should not be allowed to vote. That'd be akin to saying that the President of the USA should be elected by Britain, and so forth around the world.

Sql is an ISO standard; does that mean everything in ISO Sql makes compete sense, or functions as you'd expect? No, but you DO know how everyone else that implements it expects it to act. Ironically, it's near impossible to find two identical implementations (MSSQL, MySQL, PL/SQL, ad infinitum)

I don't want to burn a CD every time I buy something from iTunes just so I can listen to it on the way to work. It's annoying, cumbersome, and incredibly wasteful. Besides, if I'm going to burn music to a CD, I'm going to burn the MP3 and fit 10x the music on there (there are plenty of modern CD players that can handle this). Not to justify the stupid DRM, but you can use a CD-R which avoids the "wasteful" part of that.
