Really, I thought photography was mostly about what you framed in your viewfinder. I have taken great photographs with a point and shoot. One does not need to know the zone system, especially when using a 35mm camera, to know how to compose a great photographs. Sure, manual controls give you more creative control, but a good photographer can make a good photo with any camera.
Many large format photographers are already printing in the digital realm with archival black and white inks and inkjet printers. Why? because after many years in the darkroom with poor ventilation, they have realized that their health has been effected. Digital cameras will get better. It is just safer for the environment and humans to go digital...and alot cheaper.
If they make it half as nice as the Mac Mini...and $100-200 cheaper...I will buy one to go along side of my Mac Mini. I'd love to have a cheap PC, that isn't outdated or 10 times the size of the Mac Mini. I miss a few PC only apps.
I wished I felt the same way, but when you are in the market for a new Apple laptop and your choice is between the iBook (priced decent, but lacking specs) and the PowerBook (priced horribly and lacking specs)...it doesn't make me feel too good. The G4 is outdated, the FSB is pathetic, and the screen resolutions are last generation. It seems that Apple is having another processor disaster with IBM just like they did (still have) with Moto...a whole lot of over-promising and under-delivering.
At least Business 2.0 didn't jack the palmtop mac running a light version of OS X rumor from www.macrumors.com... It was a thoughtful article that did not rely on the same old rumors from maczealotville. Each products makes sense, even if it will ultamatelty become vaporware.
Kind of pointless, but also very cool.

This is one of those things that is kind of pointless...but ultimately...very damn cool. I like it.
Sure, the Mini is cool by itself...but this guy was just trying to make it more usable for himself. Not everyone is an aesthetics first type of user. Plus, the Mini is so cheap...he can just buy another one for looks.

Wow, is that the G5 PowerBook prototype from 2004?

You can't be serious... uh huh huhuhuhu...(oh jesus bert, the cadaver)
So, this would be Intel making PPC chips then? I would be fine with anyone who could get anything other than a G4 into the PowerBooks.
