Thanks, that was a much more useful link than the one I read and referenced in my reply...
That said, I think that if that email was the initial contact to Theo/OpenBSD, the distribution was too wide. It's not like Theo keeps his contact info secret, and in order to reach him you have to get some buzz around what you're saying (as might be the case with a company).
Deanna (I think it was Deanna anyway, based on the contributed by) overreacted to the email. The only thing unreasonable about the email that I saw was the wide distribution. The initial email from Michael Buesch, IMHO, should have gone to the comitter and the OpenBSD core team...
Really, all it takes is some driving. It's going on today, right now.
It's the salamanders around the central valley. They can all interbreed with their neighbors, as they progress around the valley, but the funny thing is that when they 'close the loop', they can't breed anymore.
The trouble I have with people "thinking" that evolution is wrong and that "god" created everything is that it's not thinking.
It is just believing.
Thinking involves examining your initial axioms for the likelyhood they are true and then using logical reasoning to reach a conclusion. These people are _not_ thinking!
You must have missed the Tactipad. Of course, 'immersive' probably isn't what you're looking for in an automotive device, and I think it's going to be a _long_ time before the tactile feedback is combined with the screen. But then again, I think for automotive applications tactile and auditory feedback is probably better than visual. On a cellphone on the other hand, it's just make them more annoying (unless the user was using a headset...)
You can verify the reference machine all you want, but unless all the millions of Californians are voting on that one machine then there's not much point to verifying it.
I suppose that if that hadn't worked, then the next time you'd need to answer with a rampant errection (assuming you are male) saying, "I've been waiting for you..."
My sister-in-law's father likes to drag them inside when they come to the door and 'tell them about my faith'. He doesn't give them a chance to say much and _they_ are the ones stuck listening to what they don't want to hear.:-)
I've long realized that I recognize people I know well from a _distance_ more by how they move than by the shape of their face or other more 'normal' visual cues. It probably comes from evolving in an area where predators moved differently from prey.
A friend who used to work at Microsoft who was talking to a current microsoft employee (paraphrased): Former to Current: "What I want is a stable, secure system that works without having to reboot for patches all the time." Current to Former: "Our server version is coming out later this year."
Former to Me: "That's when I knew she just didn't get it. She didn't realize that there are benefits to the 'regular consumer' by having a secure, stable system."
Me to Former: "You're surprised a Microsoftie doesn't get it? WTF?"
Is your phone a SLVR by any chance? I've been considering replacing my SE T616 with the SLVR, but I haven't had much of chance to check out the software and see if it's crap like the work-provided LG phone I had before my T616. If it's a SLVR, do you use it with a computer for syncing and how well do you think it works?

He posts here often, but seldom does anyone see the posts, since they are moderated down as 'moronic'...
So I say lets open a big bottle of it in his office while he's there.
When (if?) he wakes up, let's ask him again if he thinks CO2 is a pollutant...
You can see speciation here in California.

for more information, google 'ring species'

And voter-verified, it's still not good enough.

If you want your vote to count, vote on paper.

That's why I have my kids lick the floors in public restrooms!

I'm going to change my name to:
11001010111111101011101010111110 11011110101011011011111011101111
Pronounced: CAFEBABE DEADBEEF
I hope that's unique enough. At least when signing up for some stupid web-service I shouldn't have to add a random 3-5 digit number to the end...

My question is, does that mean that gophers and moles and such are off limits?
I'm sure they would if I had any
And get off my lawn god damn it!
Damn, I've got mod points, but I've already posted...
Next time, have the vote for the bid take place on Diebold machines!
This is Slashdot. If I wanted objective news, I'd be watching Fox!

No, "back in the day", you picked up the phone and Mabel asked who you wanted to talk to...
Later on, you 'rang' someone on the shared bus. I still have a wooden hanger with the instructions to "ring 52" printed on it to get the cleaners.
Silly me, I sort of figured that one should educate themselves on a subject _before_ they take a stance on it.
Where the candidate in the 2000 election was infavor of blocking software until they found out it blocked _their_ site.
Are they just stupid or what?
And thus be liable to be sued for _any_ content they carry.
The humans are adopting their behavior. The behavior the humans have decided to adopt is to GE mosquitos and make them resistant to malaria.
