    I like Apple, I like my iPod, and I like all the other stuff they make (escpecially what they made a few/many years ago, like the Mac SE and IICx). However, they are a little evil. My dad used to sell computers into education establishments in the UK, working for a private firm. Apple opened up an Apple store in the same region, and managed to undercut the supplier my dad worked for by about 2 or 3% on almost every product. Needless to say, he ended up loosing his job because the orders wern't coming in. I found out a few days ago that the place is still running though. Selling Windows boxes...

    Personally I think space exploration is a worthy cause for mankind and see no wrong in diverting a reasonable level of funding toward it

    I disagree a little with this; We know more about space that we do about the depths of our own oceans, and I think that some funding funding for space projects should be reduced a little, and we should put the same amount of effort into deep sea exploration.

    Saying that though, at the end of the day, I think that all research is good, no matter what it's about. The more we can do to expand out knowledge of the universe and our world, the better.
    Just my £0.02.

    Funnily enough, it looks easy to make a supercomputer like this. Although, I'm not 100% sure how it works, like is each node an independant machine performing tasks for the host?

    ... But this guy didn't really CREATE or FATHER the world wide web, thousands of people created it, and thousands of people will continue it for years to come. No-one can be attributed to be the creator of the net. What about ARPA-net and MIL-net, I thought they were american inventions?

    ... The same type of psuedo-monopoly (I guess you could call it that) that printer companies have... After the product has been established, the hardware prices fall to about 30 GBP, but the price of replacement ink cartridges will cost about two thirds to three quarters of the cost of the printer in the first place?
