It seems that the best option to triple boot Vista/XP and Ubuntu was, in fact, Vista's own boot loader. Xp's couldn't do it and Grub simply passed it over to windows boot loader.
Sure the guys was a little looney in noggin - but it's one thing to send some emails and another to kill people. If there were more people there then why are they not dead? Doesn't smell like team spirit.
When I worked for the digital/Compaq/Hp company - I canvassed them to move to more eco-friendly packaging (like recycled boxes as filler instead of styrofoam) sadly, it seems, they just started to use more boxes.
I love AVG for the free scanner it provides but...
Safesearch: It doesn't work.
Somehow I ended up on one of those "Your computer is infected..." sites while trying to dl their crap. So for fun I went back to the referrer page (google) and sure enough, it was marked as safe.
Working in tech support - I can easily attest to this.
"My wireless internet is not working." "Ok, have you powercycled your router?"
"Router?" "You know, the box with the little antennas sticking out of it."
"Oh, I don't have one of those." "Okay, who do you pay for your internet?"
"Oh.... Oh. Uh.. Okay I found the 'router' and unplugged it and plugged it back in. It's still not working. It used to work but now there's a lock on the connection." "Heh, what lights are lit on the router?"
"Lights? They're flashing but i can't read them." "Ah. I know exactly what the problem is then. Call your isp. Thanks for calling."
I don't care that are getting free internet - hell the internet should be free - but lying through your teeth b/c you're too stupid to figure it out yourself?
What I really want to know is what do they expect us
to do with these cds (bought or given).
Should we even be listening to them really?
Can you listen to your copy with a friend?
Can you listen to your copy with a group of friends?
Can you lend out the cd to a friend?
Can you lend out the cd a stranger?
Can you lend out the cd to a group of strangers?
So why not sell it to a group of stangers?
Where is the line drawn?

Music is freedom - the medium is not.
When it comes to communication between sexes - I prefer the straightforward
blunt angle. So if she says she wants to go for coffee, it means.. she wants to go for coffee.
Men are oblivious to these types of subtle cues because they are just that, subtle.
Trying to talk to someone, hearing what they say, understanding what they are saying, reading their body language, hearing their intonations in their voice, understanding what they are trying to say overall, and concluding that they want to do horrible things to you in the dark - it's just too much.
Not all of us can multi-task like this.

The other possibility is we catch everything right and just don't care

Definitely Bob Hoskins (well with more hair).

Just blacklist their ip - or kill them... whichever is easier.
ie: http://www.intimus.com/details.cfm?prodid=143 a shredder to convert old cardboard boxes into filler.

You don't have to.
As a previous tech support agent - I've seen this in the field...
"why can't I record internet radio anymore on my new expensive vista system?"
"Well, lets take a look at the sound settings.
hmmm... Creatives driver gui (as one example) doesn't let you mixdown anymore. Obvious feature.
It seems you can't. Sorry. "
Dell doesn't write software and doesn't make the hardware.
Buy it Ubuntu anyways.
We don't need nails.
We need stakes.

Oh and steaks, mmmmm....
They're both lies. Two wrongs don't make it right.
This was an awesome piece. Everyone should watch it. :D:D:D

Wanting to use VLC as my default player in Vista, UAC always prompted
.sdb file to the Vista computer you want to alter the elevation prompt behavior on.
.SDB file as abc.sdb in the c:\Windows folder, the command should be like this:
me to Allow or Deny - I couldn't get around it.
I don't want to turn off UAC as this is the wife's computer.
Some research brought me to: http://www.winvistaclub.com/f6.html
With this info:

Now VLC is my default player w/o having to annoy me.
After running and supporting both Linux and Windows - I can tell you, you pay to run Linux too by buying magazines about Linux and getting support.
The difference is Linux is a living OS while Windows is cast in only one mold.
I would rather pay $400 in magazine subscriptions per year then 1 license of Windows. (mind you, a MSDN subscription is nice to have too)
Do current music artists get a corporate discount?
Would the RIAA sue it's own members?
The RIAA should sue itself for being this stupid.

I've heard this 'unlimited' arguement before on a 10-hour
dial-up plan.
To some 'Unlimited' means unlimited access 24/7 - not unlimited download/upload.

smoke.
SMOKE.
After clicking the Google RS feed - I was prompted to skip a full screen ad for a Dell something or other.
Damn, I hate that.

But you may have seen a MAC Bomb.
Happy... Happy.... Bomb. Goddamn Finder.
This is the moment we've been waiting for.
All we need now is a stool sample and we close step number 3 and move to step 4.
4) Profit!!
