So it seems that Microsoft has data that suggests that, despite the lower resolution, the Surface has greater precieved detail than the iPad.
For me, it's not the "Perceived detail" that is important, it's about getting more information on the screen at one time.
At a Resolution of 1366x768, you get 1,049,088 pixels, and at 1920x1080 you get 2,073,600 pixels. Almost double.
That's a lot of room to put more information on the screen. Now if you're just watching movies, then the difference in resolution probably won't make that much of a difference. However, if you're doing applications, the higher resolution could make a world of difference. That's several more columns and rows on a spreadsheet, more text from a PDF, more bars in a chart, etc...
For me, the lower resolution is a negative, especially considering 1920x1080 displays are becoming more and more prevalent in the tablet market.
While it's true that assuming to know another's motivation is bad, the foreman relying on his personal experience is also bad, since you're supposed to use the facts presented in the case, along with the jury instructions, as the sole means by which to determine a verdict.
Facts by who's standards? A jury is presented with each sides interpretation of what the "facts" are. Whether they are based in reality or not, is, as they say "Up to the jury to decide".
Happens to every platform of gaming. Arcade Games, Consoles, PC's, etc...
In the early days of Arcade Games, every game was unique (Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Robotron). As games stood out as top money makers, they started emulating them. Why risk a new idea, when an existing one is close to a sure thing? The longer the platform is around the less unique the games will become. Go into any modern Arcade (that is still open), and you're going to find that 90% of the games fall into Drivers, Fighters, Shooters. With maybe a couple games outside of that.
The index can be used to check whether your programming skills are still up to date or to make a strategic decision about what programming language should be adopted when starting to build a new software system. The definition of the TIOBE index can be found here.
The chart would seem to indicate that because it's ranked higher those are the skills you should be concentrating on? I don't think so.
T-SQL is near the bottom, yet if you do any MS SQL development, it's just as important as any other language on that list. JavaScript? If you're doing web development, it's just as important to know as T-SQL or C# or what ever your language of choice is.
The statistics are meaningless for making any real decisions about what you should learn or be proficient at.
I've been on COMPUSERVE and Genie at 300 Baud. I wrote my own BBS software for the C64 (and I still have the Source code and Data files!), then I wrote one for the Atari ST. Somewhere around 1990 I got on the Internet. That was a PITA back then... having to install software in Windows just to connect.
I miss those days a little, except for the speed. I'll take my 60Mbit Connection over 300 Baud any day:)

You'll sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks!
This will then lead to implanting false memories in people....
Removing tin foil hat now....

I say we send them there in person to fix it...
That Hollywood runs with this idea and makes a Movie out of it!
Long time ago :)

Ok, so maybe it's not as sophisticated as this version...

Well, I am self employed...
'Panguite’s primordial nature means that it was actually around before the Earth and other planets formed,
So how exactly did they come to this "Scientific" conclusion?
IANAL, but how can they prosecute you for stealing stolen stuff?
Really? IANAL either, but theft is theft. It doesn't matter how many layers you put between yourself and the owner...
Heck you can go to jail for BUYING stolen goods if you should have known they were stolen.
Hold on... you just used them both!
(they're attached to small solar panels)
So you have Solar powered lights?
Maybe someone could build something to convert a CB communication to something that works over the Internet... kind of like a CB->Skype adapter...
I read that as "Cartman" and I was like "WTF???"
Citation please.
and dupe it 4 times.

How about you just return the results that match what I typed in?
Mine too. Guess you can stay on my lawn.

No wonder it took so long to boot. Did they actually mean 6.5 MHz? Hell the Vic-20 was 1Mhz.
And what 8 bit processor can address 16MB of RAM? An 8 bit processor can only address 64K at a time, unless they had some bank switching going on..
I would RTFA, but it's slashdotted...
Guess, I'll wait until April 2nd before reading anything more on /.
I bought my 4G phone almost 2 years ago and have yet to see any 4G service. Yet all the other carries seem to have it...
