I guess he's never heard of being polite with a customer, or, "The customer is always right." That MBTA prick should be fired on the spot for saying something so idiotic. People like that belong at Microsoft, not working to benefit the public at large. Take that, Chuckles, and stick it.
That's the United States today, unfortunately. If I had the financial resources I'd move to Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia, anywhere other than here. Anything is better than the $@&^ed-up crap our government is getting away with now. They are a bunch of psychopaths that can't stand to have anyone smarter than they are (which is any non-government employee) point out their flaws. I'll be glad when the common people of this once great nation are fed up and take it back. Terrorist attacks on the United States and abroad have brought out the worst in our government . . . so much so that we're hated around the world by everyone not a government scumbag. Losers!
Screw the world. Let's worry about our own country first. I'm tired of our country, whether that be its government or its people, pouring money and resources into problems other countries have, when the same issues here in the United States get all but ignored. The saying still applies: "Charity starts at home."
I will NOT be *upgrading* LOL to Vista EVER due to its' DRM. I reserve the right to copy my purchased content in order to protect it from media degradation and to also allow use on multiple devices I own. If there comes a day that my copy of XP can't run the software I need it to, whether that be an word processing application or a utility to copy purchased content, I will be moving to another *non-windows* OS. Here's a full bird salute for you, Microshaft. Wake up! Your customers damand it.
Hold on now. I have upgraded my machine a piece or two at a time for the better part of 10 years now rather than buying a new one. One reason: Pre-packaged machines more often than not come with inferior components, and the ones that come equipped with quality parts are much more pricey (generally) than upgrading to the specifications you want. The majority of people that buy new vs. upgrade (in my opinion) are the kind of people that buy Macs. They don't wish to know how their computer works or how to upgrade a part themselves, or they've been brainwashed by the mass media into thinking they can buy an eMachine and be *cool* or are getting a deal (you know the type . . . they shop at Wal-Mart). The only thing they're getting is ripped off, and all the while they are accomplices in our planets demise.
I hope they succeed, and I hope the remaining 49 states follow suit, until the abomination that is the auto industry bows to the people and starts selling vehicles for much less, with greater fuel economy and with lower emissions.
Unfortunately, an individuals credit history isn't necessarily an indication of his responsibility or organization. More often than not it may be, but that excludes a whole lot of people from positions that they should otherwise be considered for. I personally believe that a persons credit history should not be available to his or her employer.
As Systems Manager for a family owned and operated video store in Maine competing directly with Blockbuster, I have personal experience with Blockbuster utilizing immoral and/or illegal practices, to the detriment of both its' competition and customers, so I don't feel sorry for them in the least, and hope they burn in retail hell.
This is exactly why we need seperation of Church and State. Religion is a system of belief, and faith, whereas science deals with observation, research, and facts. The two are seldom compatible. Keep religion in Church and those homes that wish it, and keep science in our schools.
What happened to, "Innocent until proven guilty?" I would hazzard that if her hard drive was wiped, and neither the court nor the RIAA could then prove her guilt, she should be considered innocent. Is this the United Soviet Socialist Republic or the United States?

No, Mr. Spitzmuller, you're wrong.

I think it should warrant it. Too bad they don't do it here.

Australia. The desire to be close to my remaining family (mom, sis, and the woman I love).
