    And where can you buy that 250? The manufacturer's site links to sites you can buy the 128 and lower, and says the 250 will be available soon.

    According to the manufacturer's warranty, if it stops producing an acceptable level of light in ten years, they will send me a new one. In ten years, they likely won't make the same low level of energy, so I might just get a new one with better efficiency.

    Because I know that when I'm at home, I never use GMail, Google Docs, Google Maps. I definitely don't check my Yahoo Mail account, TV guide, or watch streaming video.

    In fact, I'll bet that I never play a game where most of the world processing occurs on a remote server that might benefit from a universal interface (documentation states that a Mac and Linux version are on the way).

    And being able to create "Application" shortcuts won't be used at home either. Being able to tell my parents that I "installed" google docs for free instead of Microsoft Word won't be helpful. Not having to recover their information the next time it gets overloaded with malware won't save me any time.

    I see what you mean. No use for "Web 2.0" except in the office.

    And at the end of the day it's always about blaming someone else. After all, if no one is readily at hand, we maight have to take responsibility for our own failures. Funny story: I discovered a save function for all my google apps. I like to call it copy&paste.

    I'm all for exploring all avenues. We don't know enough, by far to know even what we know or don't know yet. We're making theories without any idea what all forces play in the big scale. If this man figures out just ONE more variable, then his work was worth the time and effort.
