Good plots are all about *conflict.* It's less interesting if the hero is too invincible, he *has* to have some kind of weakness that can be exploited. Plus the machines would have made very careful study of Neo's actions in the 1st film, and (like the Borg) *ADAPTED* to a certain extent.
Oddly enough, that "sonic BOOM" sound effect came into my head while reading the article and before ever seeing the/. comments. I just couldn't remember which char it was!
Agreed. When I had to change my password at a former workplace, I just thought of (part of) a song I had heard on the way to work or some event that had happened that day, and used it as a basis. Put a little 1337 in there for spice, and it makes it harder to crack.
Of course I always wrote the new password down and put it in a secure but easily accessible place as well, JIC it got forgotten.;-)

--I would much rather have had google's reps say something like, "Ok, we can remove all references to KLite, but that means we're also going to have to remove all references to Kazaa itself as well" and see how fast Kazaa backed down.

--I tend to agree with that, but they *did* put in the ability to see what fonts look like in the drop-down menu in Office 2000. I still use '97, but I thought that was one of the best new features.
