Even if nothing else, just add internet play and bring the pc graphics up to Amiga level.
If a couple of tracks could be added that are just as good as the original two, that would be good.
I know VHS has a lower resolution, but what surprised me was how little it made a difference in our viewing conditions, which I hardly believe are atypical. I found that the audio was the killer of VHS for me. After using a tape a couple of times, I couldn't make out dialogue any more. Now DVD's can just be cranked right up. This could just be that I am much more an audio than visual person.
Most stuff now simply is compressed to eliminate much dynamic range so you can't tell if there was any hiss in any of the quiet parts simply because there are not any quiet parts.
Too bad the engineering of quality recordings is degraded to make it loud.

If employees checked up on businesses before going to work for them or buying products from them, we might not have so many ENRONs
I do this. If a company wants to use graphology or a drug test or a psych evaluation with multi-guess about the types of flowers I like or Myers-Briggs, I just walk. However, at the moment I am in a very priveledged position. I have a great job, and get approached regularly by other companies.
I know someday I will be begging for a job again so really don't want all these half assed pseudo-scientific measures used against people. I am for measuring everthing if it means something. The problem with all this stuff is there is no control.
In reality though I think this is just the movie industry realizing that they were missing out on a lucrative market that they themselves could have been filling.
I agree with you here. Integrity and the film industry shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.
Where is the integrity in allowing bowdlerised airplane versions. Or TV versions. (Anyone ever seen Pulp Fiction on free to air TV? Instant drinking game.) Oh, you want to show the film I created in 16:9 technicolour vision with surround sound on your 1" screen mobile phone with 15c ear jacks? Of course! It can work!
Watta ya mean Bambi was good? Bambi 2 can be twice as good!
And let me also say that a lot of the time, "adult logic" _isn't_. Adults are just as good as kids at rationalizing backwards from what they'd like, to some half-arsed unconvincing "facts" to justify it with.
Isn't this what university is for? Train adults in arguing their pre-concieved notions.
The problem with profiling is that once people figure out what you are profiling on, they can easily defeat it. If you know people with beards are twice as likely to be checked, get your team to shave. And just work through the list. If you haven't got anyone that will pass, recruit.
Randomness is good.
Thats because I only have two ears. When I have 7.1 ears I will buy a new system.
Seriously for music I like to think I am listening to a band/orchestra/ensemble that is just in front of me. Stereo is exactly what I want.
For movies I might get a surround sound system. I wouldn't listen to music on it though due to all the extra distortion.
Bob Dylan got it so right.
'To live outside the law, you must be honest'
Outside of computers you see this all the time in petty stuff. People pulled over for speeding, or not wearing a seatbelt and they have a kg of smack in the car. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
For most conversations I don't want intercepted lately I have been using in-game talk. Security through obscurity I know, but pretty obscure I hope.
After I had been at my current company for about 3 years, they started getting a lot more formal with 'probity checks' before appointing people to positions. At an awards dinner one night, I asked the CFO, if I apply for an internal job and don't get it because I fail the probity check, can I keep my current job? She laughed and said no, I would be sacked.
For some reason people still ask me why I stay at the same job when I get plenty of internal offers.
The Iraqi insurgents don't wear uniforms. Did the French resistance figters in WW2 wear uniforms? Did the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels of PNG?
Who is it tough shit for, the civilians or the insurgents?
Saying 'Kind of hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff when they all look like wheat.' seems to imply we should kill everyone since they all look the same. Is this what you meant?

No way! The last 5 sequels I purchased were great! Madden 2002, Madden 2003, Madden 2004, Madden 2005, Madden 2006...
You are in for a great next purchase then. Madden 2007 rules!

Apted means he wants a cut, thats all.
Flashback and Abe as well.
Anyway, all of them were fantastic.

I first learned of the RC when Slashdot told me about it. I like that.
