Why stop at sex offenders? We could map out thieves, murderers, and rapists. This really does give a new meaning to Google. The things that they're building are dinamic enough for others to build onto. I think it's pretty cool, even though it can be taken advantage of by those that would want to misrepresent the accual location of property.
Lucky for me, my house is out of Google's range, so if I was a sex offender, or any other of the above, I would be out of the radar. Would that make my house much more expensive in the future, or not?
I wonder how this would be a one-way street. I mean, if you can copy info from our brains, then what would stop you from sending info to the brain, or even removing information from the brain?
I wonder how many people that would truly be concerned with this, even use libraries. The one's that know enough about our current technology, and it's pros and cons don't seem like the types to need libraries. We have Slashdot!
When are we going to do something about it? We can't let them impose their failed, outdated, and inefficient business model through threats, pressures and silence. We must speak out. I am wiling to travel the world (as I am doing now in conferences all over Spain) to tell my story, and they will not silence me. The truth has to be known.
...But for now, I will resign to save the job of my boss, who is sucking the dick of the one I'm teaching about.
Troll me all you want, this guy is a chump. You can't talk about something in such a way as to be a hero, just to quit. He wasn't fired, he resigned. I know about public officials "resigning", but that is just for the future of their careers. In this case, he quit, to save the job of his boss. It just doesn't make any sense.
I still don't get this whole troll thing. If you ask me, slashdot is founded by trolling. Isn't that what "Zonk" does when he's looking for news??? Trolling through other sources of news, then misleading slashdotters into thinking one-way about the news he finds? I mean, read the fucking headlines... "Your Rights Online: Teacher Fired for P2P Lecture". Nobody was fired.
The Director called me and first asked me to remove any link to the university from my website, and also to "hide" the fact that I was teaching there. Then he told me about the pressures and threats he and the Program received (to be subjected to software licenses inspection, copyright violations inspections, or anything that may damage them). Obviously I had to resign to save his job (and everybody else's at the Masters Program). So I did.

Then he throws in "But I need your help."
Looks like he's looking to better his career by this, or become famous... The guy resigned!!!
I wish I understood the mod system on slashdot. I would give you all I could.
Hopefully, I am not a troll, but I was unaware of the facts on an atomic level for diamonds. I was just assuming that the man-made diamonds are not able to be as hard as nature-made, just by pure definition.
Thank-you for the atomic lesson, and extending intelligence, instead of criticism.
Isn't one of the top reasons that diamonds are so great is that they are so hard? I would hate to buy one for my wife, just to have her bang it against something just to break it.
A real diamond is created out of tramendous pressure, whereby the carbon atoms of coal are just mashed together. This new diamond seems to be grown like a crystal. Surely it can't be very hard.
Sony did much research on it, and found that it would be best for angry teens to have a boomerang controler that, when thrown, will just come right back to them.
No, it's because when 2 people get together, they have more of a tendancy to talk/brag about what they have done. This makes it hard to get things done in a timely manner.
What people don't understand, is that there has to be a double-blind test done on every medicine that will be produced by the medical industry. If it is not the medical industry that's putting it out, then they have to tell you about all of these side effects. Testing in such ways is for the good of the economy, not the humanity.
....of a friend of mine. He went through the city where we live, and was looking for wireless hotspots. He found one comming from the police station, and it was not incripted. He looked on it for a while, and discovered that all of their video cameras were tied into the system as well. He went inside the police station and had his laptop in hand. He showed it to the officer. They asked "What's that?" He replied "I think it's cell #4. If it's not #4, then it's #6. You guys have it wired wrong I think."
They did not arrest him, in fact, they offered him a very low-paying job with the city!
I'm gunna put a really big bag of cocain outside. You guys come and get as much as possible. Sell it. Bring me the money. Whoever brings me the most money, gets a really nice watch.
What's the problem with being sensored? Who the f*$# cares anyway? There's always a f&@king way around it, isn't there? The Chinese are just being arrogant little d$#ks.
I guess they don't have the same laws we have here in the US. Like the laws of privacy.
Guys? We still have privacy rights, right?...Guys?
Isn't this the same tactics that AOL uses to keep customers, just with a lot of finger-pointing? It is a good opritunity to get a lot of folks in trouble.
hmmmm.... who was that, that didn't give me a good deal on that wireless router?

I'm curious to find out what they got stuck in. If it is finer than sand, I would call it dust, or powder. It would interesting to know.

Even better, just know more than them, and act really sneaky. No need to break any laws if people are scared of you.

"....Most comon side effects include stomach ache, vomiting, diareah, abdominal cramps, and loose stool. Doctors advise...." bla bla bla
Also you can read here.

Someone says that it could get hijacked, and constantly display junk data, but I thought if that happened, it was reffered to as "Internet Explorer".

You go to China... your internet activities are monitored by 30,000 chinamen.
You try to go somewhere you'r not suppose to go... You get cut off.
YOU EAT RICE AND BE HAPPY, ROUND EYE!!!
Please don't do it.
I mean, I know why America is waiting, but why all the other countries too?
hmmmm.... who was that, that didn't give me a good deal on that wireless router?
We're still trying to decide if the assholes go, or if the good people of the Earth go. There is a big dispute over facts of oil on Mars or not.
