NAT breaks the internet, and it isn't a solution to running out of IP addresses.

The real issue is that in their eagerness to make sure we never run out again, they made it too complicated. It would've been far more sane to add a fifth set of numbers. That way all existing IP's would've been 000.XXX.XXX.XXX --> essentially not requiring ANY renumbering at all. And they still would've been in a format that people could relatively easily memorize or manually enter.

In other news, every major corporation with an app store retains the ability to remotely nuke apps you've purchased. While it's most likely because they want to force you to keep buying apps over and over again, while stealing goods you've paid for... there also is the slight possibility they've retained that ability so that if some nasty virus breaks out, they can stop it before it infects every device in their ecosystem. Either way.

U.S. officials tell NBC that CIA operators were flying the unmanned drone when it veered out of control and headed deep into Iran. The drone eventually ran out of fuel and crashed in Iran's remote mountains.

The only thing that was up for discussion is whether it crashed or was shot down, which is semantics. It doesn't really matter whether it was shot down or crashed, it was violating Iran's airspace.

We already tolerate it from drug users too... If someone wants to take drugs and drive, drugs being illegal isn't going to stop them. I'm not sure how you think legalizing the drugs will change that in any way, shape, or form.

Make it illegal to drive while intoxicated just like we do with liquor. If someone messes up, punish them. Don't punish our entire "free" society because of the actions of a few. Where does it stop? Where do you draw the line? The number of people who die in accidents related to intoxication or such a tiny drop in the bucket, anyone who took the time to look at the actual numbers would realize how absolutely insane it is to use that as an excuse to ban drugs, or alcohol.

None of those employees need to be able to read existing entries though. All they need is a field where the rep asks you for your SSN, they type it in and hit a button, and it matches it against the database. If for some reason it wasn't matching, and they needed to actually view the entry, they would request a manager to unlock the one record for them temporarily.

This would severely limit the amount of information they had access to.
