  1. Redundancy on How One Clumsy Ship Caused A Major Net Outtage · · Score: 0

The problem is not lack of redundancy, the problem is lack of bandwidth, imagine i have an STM-16 in one direction and another STM-16 in the other direction and both of those are running high (>75%). If I lose one the net will reconverge, in just a few minutes, however now i have 2.5gb*1.75 running over a single 2.5g link. Problem is not with the network, it's a problem with Service Providers not having ample b/w in a failure scenario!

  2. How about this as a defence on IsoHunt Shut Down? · · Score: 0

I just posted this by mistake in the middle of somewhere, so reposting (don't flame me.. Please :p)

If I download from a well known tracker something like 24 Season 6, Even if I am not in the US am I really doing the MPAA out of money.
I look at it this way, I pay my satellite TV bills every month, in a few months 24 Season 6 will be on as per my subscription, so someone's
still getting paid i'm just getting to see it a few months early, I mean do these fuckers really expect me to sit there want watch all
their crappy adverts.. If I PAY money for TV it means i shouldn't be getting all these CRAPPY commericals every 5 minutes!

Now as for me uploading as well downloading, even if I upload 100% then there's no way that 100% all went to one person, so person x
woudld get maybe 1%, person Y would get 1% and so on... Now without the remaining 99% the data that i've sent to those people is bullcrap
and could be absoutely anything (think Z x 1024k blocks of data - meaningless.

Honestly, If I could PAY $1 per episode to download a 720p Dolby Digital version of 24 then I would pay to download it, I'd also pay
for other shows and just not have a TV subscription at all, when apple or someone expects $2 (or more) for a crappy lower-res version
of the file packed with DRM bullcrap - sorry but that just doesn't cut it!

I'm just pissed off with the ending of Odyssey 5, now that was a good TV show, maybe a little silly re: the earth blowing up, but the concept overall was good... Damn stupid TV companies shouldn't start someting they can't finish! Bah All your startrek are belong to us

Tosser! Since when do modern operating systems come with a spell checker, i believe my OFFICE platform comes with a spell checker, i don't really recall a spell checker being a pre-req for a base O/S .. Therefore, :) is it too much to ask for people to engage brain before putting hand to keyboard. On a side note, I think we should go back to ZX81 architecture, i mean those guys really had something going there, that 1k ram pack was really ace, maybe i can hack it into my current PC, the extra ram would do wonders for me

Should have installed M$oft (or should that be Giant) anti-spyware :) would have picked up on the fact that his wife was spying on him through some dodgy keystroke logger.. Imagine she found he had millons stashed in some dodgy accounts somewhere, she could have nicked his stash before filing for divoce. Mind, then he'd have freaked and probably kicked her ass and then been locked up.. To quote RAW "if i ever get married, i have to goto the woods of africa and get me a naked-zebra bitch, with a bone and a plate and a big f***ed up afro".. G
