This is actually the first Opera version to work on my machine since i tried Opera 5 or something, and i'm all in love now... It's fast, safe and the rendering is nice... Great release..
Well no browser on this planet is free of bug and security holes, but at least i feel a bit safer when using firefox. One of the reasons i feel safer is that Firefox dont use ActivX components and i think that Mozilla/Firefox are faster to come with a fix if a security hole is discovered. Arrest me if i'm wrong...
There are people saying that Firefox may not be that much more secure than IE, but at least Firefox is getting fixes to improve it's security, while MS is not doing much untill they release the next version of IE. I'll upgrade my Firefox right away...
I rememer earlier this week reading that Dell was going to focus more on services in the future and now IBM does the same. Then who's left to make the goods?
Well it's nice to that the blogger's are finaly getting some backing, bloggers should have some rights, they are journalists even though they are hobby journalists.
There are some years since I first heared about this space elevator project, but untill now there has been mostly just smalltalk, the fact that the project has some money and the nanotube technology are evolving is a promissing sign, maybe some day I dont need to be stuck at the ground floor..
If you need to let some CD in your drive when you leave work, I think there will be some problems. Workers will not remember to do this every day, maybe just half of them.
Hehe, why bother cracking the WEP key when most Wireless Networks are unprotected, for about a month i've been connected to the internet through the Wireless network belonging to a nearby shop.
But since i've now got my own connection i now bridge those connections to boost my download speeds. hehe.. not my fault they keep there network unprotected, they've even left the default password on the router configuration panel, so i turned on Extended signal strength to get better signals.
I know this was a bit offtopic but i guess that most people here have one or more Wireless networks in thiere neighborhood that is unprotected, at least if you live in a city!
I did'nt find a list over what versions of KDE, GNOME, etc it includes. where do i find it?
And have anyone here tested this distro, what are the pros and cons compared to Suse or Mandrake for example?
Is'nt this a bit old news since this site allready had this news post the 23. But i surely hope that the PearPC developers sue CherryOS since it's breaking Apple's EULA (well Apple could sue them) another thing is the fact that CherryOS most likely has stolen most of its code from PearPC acording to this article from Wired.
Well i tried this thing and it works, but i realy cant figure out if this is usefull or not. Sure it can be, but not to me. But if it wasn't for this news post i'd never have found this site and never tried it, so thanks to the poster for enlightening me and also thanks to the developer.
There seems to be a lot of bugs still in TiVo's software. And i wish the concept of pop-up's would die, there must be other ways to show advertisement that is less anoying.
Looks like the only thing this program can't do is make coffe. But me for instanse don't need all these new features since i'm not a Photo junky. And it sure aint cheap, so i guess i'll stay with GIMP or Paintshop Pro.
I've been thinking of getting myself a mac for ages, but after the mini came to the market it's a bit easier for me to do the switch due to it's low cost. Never had or have any plans of buying an ipod, but i think the ipod has put apple on the map for the average joe.
Guess i'll have to update my KDE. KDE has done a good job optimizing but there's allways room for more. As long as they keep up the great work i'm happy.
Thanks for pointing this out for me, i'll take a look at xwinman.org. But my point was that not only GNOME needs optimizations, not trying to flame here but i think it's to little focus on optimization in the software industy now a days(Commercal and Open Source). Hardware is cheap, but in some parts of the world they still use old computers.
This is a realy good idea, something like this should be done not only to GNOME but also to other window managers such as KDE. Even non linux based systems could need some work when it comes to memory leakage and optimization.
This does'nt only help people with little RAM but helps everyone.. Hope everyone are willing to help.
I just found out about the new Gmail features yesterday, have'nt tried them yet, but they seem like nice features.
Remember to check out the link below for more news.

I thought all MS software where open..!?! Guess i'll have to go close windows to prevent bugs flying inn...

That was what i feared, china and taiwan making all the goods, and if they make all the goods then they also controll the market.
I rememer earlier this week reading that Dell was going to focus more on services in the future and now IBM does the same. Then who's left to make the goods?

Surely hope Apple are going into the nano buisiness and making a Mac nano. hehe..
