Doesn't every system administrator know better than to keep logs? Can't you see what's actually going on here? First of all, the FBI had something on him. They used THAT against him in order for him to give up the logs. But why did he even have logs? Because he knew that one day he could use it for something... he may have not known that it would be to save his own ass. The only reason this guy gave up logs is because it was either that, or goto jail himself for something else (whatever that was). Regardless of whichever way it was, this guy is a wussy for giving in like this... I can hear it in his voice.

"Yeah, here's an asshole who's going out of his way to sabotage the only really successful legit music sharing service out there..."

You might say that this "one of few," "information" sharing service (iTunes) would be "legit" if they sold songs for $100 a piece. What exactly makes it legit? The fact that they're legal? If that's the case then wouldn't it still be "legit" if they sold for $0.10 a piece? Perhaps people would really praise how "legit" they would have become.

Bottom line: It doesn't matter how legal the junk is; they are only making a margin of their potential profit share at $1 a song, and my guess is that the record companies force apple to charge this much. (somehow I said this knowing the price of iPods and iMacs...)

Invaluable resource? Hardly. I thought I had met every single last closed-minded person when I went to university, but I was wrong. The remaining group went on to author 'articles' for Wikipedia. I'd be interested in discovering how you didn't find it helpful. Besides, if you can't admire it for it's quality of information with it even being open source, then maybe you can see how it worries companies like M$ who have products like CrapCarta. I for one welcome our Wikipedian overlords (I only hope that they continue to get along with our GPL and Google overlords).

There are no shortcuts to truth.

That statement implies that you know what truth is and/or that you know how to get there. Besides, no one offered a shortcut, just a path. As to what is the shortest path (if one exists) that's for an individual to decide (barring of course whether or not truth exists and yes, we are only offering this for you folks who don't plan on accepting any way to save your soul in this lifetime).

Also for you "philosophical agnostics," (only because I love you even though you are looking with your eyes and not your heart) Krishnamurti said that "Truth is a pathless land." I obviously don't agree with that but it's interesting.

  18. Seriously? Unexplainable Phenomenon? on 13 Things That Do Not Make Sense · · Score: 1, Troll

I don't find these issues to be unexplainable or unsupported in the least. The idea that these events are unexplainable "phenomena" is nothing more than a direct consequence of a limitation resulting from an individual's chosen belief system. The only reason these things become hard to comprehend or understand is because a person refuses to accept things past a certain level. The extent of the criteria a person uses to divide those beliefs and understandings (capable of explaining these things) directly determines whether they belong to faith or science. Quite frankly, I would day that people are either significantly under-educated in this regard or are to close-minded to accept facts and principles which are either not yet public, or are barely out of their tangible reach. You want to know how these things exist as they do? You could start by reading this: http://falundafa.org/book/eng/zflus.html

Since you don't think it's wrong then you should be able to defend yourself adequately, or at least not care about what someone (who doesn't appreciate your practice) thinks. What? Those aren't options? Maybe you should reconsider your situation altogether... and you think you're doing everyone a favor by "not providing them with something to worry about." It's time to take a fresh look at ourselves people. Your current life is universally purposeless and you ain't in the right.
