I've used Airbnb and never had a shady experience. Hosts have been friendly and hassle free. Places have been clean. I'm sure there are shady hosts out there but is it really so widespread?
I think most people would choose to be caned 40 times over going to jail for 33 months...assuming that the caning won't do any permanent damage, perhaps aside from scaring.
I've heard this discussed before, and I can see a use case for it, but it seems like there are more efficient means to storing energy. Mechanical compression of gas, heating of water, kinetic motion like a flywheel, compressing a spring, etc. OTOH, the cars themselves can function as large scale grid storage, once they have sufficient excess range.
For years the Turkish military saved the Turks from themselves. Now they are not. Erdogan got re-elected (!!) by the people. They are bringing ruin on themselves like every other Muslim/Arab country that wants violence over peace, religious intolerance over progress, etc.
problem is it allows for selective enforcement due to personal disposition of the cop, ticket quotas, or racial profiling. it's just not a good idea to have unspoken law breaking. just change the fucking limits and enforce it strictly. make the hwy limit 75 and anything over 80 is an automatic ticket.
Turkey is a terrorist country...supporting Hamas and other violent Islamist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, preaching a hatred against Jews and others not seen by most other "westernized" countries. Not to mention they have been bombing their own people as well as northern Iraq for years now. They are Europe and the USA's enemy in sheep's clothing.
Why not go to the Mac? OS is free. OS upgrades are free. Hardware lasts forever. Stability and power of linux. Free office suite that is very usable. $600/Mac price point.
Just to follow up on my $2.00/GB price barrier comment...for those of you who took it as an opportunity to bash Apple...
I have a iPhone 5S, iPad Air, 15 MBP w/ Retina, and AppleTV. I think Apples products are amazing.
I'm just bitter that they upcharge the SSD drives as much as they do. Granted, I understand they subsidize their margins with SSD and other upgrades, so if you buy the base model, you're getting pretty good value.
Anyone else think that 55% white is an incredibly low number for a top tier tech company and not high, as everyone seems to indicate? I would have thought the numbers would like more like 60% white, 30% asian, 10% everything else.
the iPod has an ARM processor.

I think China has a military of this size partly to keep people employed. It's not like they really use it.
But it is only twice as large as any other force in the world...twice the size of the USA, twice the size of India, and North Korea.
Aren't you all missing the point! It's not about the gun.
He KILLED his neighbors dinosaur!! Horrible.
I have one in my garage too. But the present is still gas powered cars.
I don't know about that. We bought a high end Miele vacuum cleaner and it's very quiet. We viewed that as a premium feature when we bought it.
I think what you're saying might be true for the uneducated, lower end of the market.

I think electric cars are the future. Some will debate me on that, but I'm not interested in that debate.
Where are we likely to be in 15 yrs? 2x current capacity? 4x current capacity? 10x current capacity? Where are the growing pains?
How much better/cheaper can lithium ion batteries get? What will they be replaced with? What's the end game?
i think the answer is that they should start a fast food chain. naturally cooked free range birds. fried by the sun.
it's ok to kill birds by the billions if u eat them. chicken industry.
it will be more dangerous when they figure out how to make your battery explode or electrocute you. when the go from surveillance to attack mode.

to all the important or otherwise image conscious people who have diseases and conditions they don't want made public.
The Mazda 6 uses capacitors for it's regenerative braking system...so they are relevant for hybrid car systems...for short term energy storage.

Maybe Apple will soon be breaking the $2.00/GB barrier.
Yeah, I think this is a common approach; plus multiple layers of security authorization; building; room; machine access; data
It should be biometrics plus some passwords/pins. Any of these systems should be multifaceted.
gummy bears are very sneaky. don't let them anywhere near your biometric sensors. they will hijack your identity.
