I doubt we'll ever have real artificial intelligence anytime soon, if we're smart enough anyways. Mostly because to create a real AI, you need to give it a purpose or reason to survive... think about how life itself works in general. Survival instincts precipitate change. If we do indeed create real AI, it might turn into something out of the matrix. Just we won't be living in some silly dreamworld. We'll probably just cease to exist because we're horribly inefficient anyways.
i don't see how this is nothing more than a smart weighting algorithm.
What do you think human judges do anyways? Also with past case bias. The only thing that i can see as a problem will be seeing if the prosecutor or defendant is lying. I guess we'll still have use for the old court... fraud cases. ^^;
...surfing to something in another solar system. What if the server didn't exist by the time the packet got there? Wow, and imagine having to refresh the page. o_o;
It's kinda getting to the point where google might not be competing with MS, but instead, slaughtering it. 0_o They have massive storage of data already via the search engine. Massive storage of personal data via google maps and gmail and now they're setting up to split up the internet by providing their own peer network. ( my guess anyways )
stay true google.
DVD John is an individual. Microsoft is a corporation. It's easier to target DVD John for such things because it's not like he has a lot of legal hounds being payed god knows what amounts of money to eat any lawyer or person willing to take on goliath.
Yeah but, some bands i've downloaded can only be accessible via file sharing program. Like say they're in a whole different country. Take indie start-up bands for one. No label or distribution. 0.o;
found out the battery life on it? I could care less about the flashy features, colours, or interface. If i can't listen to my music on a one week life battery ( at least ) then i'm sure as hell not going to buy it 0.o I'd rather have it function than be 'wow'ed
Note: My sony NW-E99 takes 1 AAA battery and lasts me through my school week and late weekend nights
I think the whole standing concept is so they people don't play for too long and get cramps/bad posture and whatnot. Keeps them moving around and active. Also helps stop hogging of machines. If they want to sit down or eat, they move over to the dining area and grab a snack.
It looks really well designed. Doesn't really fit the whole windows perspective though. Looks a lot more like how a mac store should look like. Very clean in the pictures.
This might be a random question but can anyone tell me the name of this drink?
This is a good example of why some programs are better for certain tasks as others. From experience, I rarely use photoshop for simple tasks like cropping or resizing. Small things like that tend to be used in Paint Shop Pro, mostly because it takes a split second to load compared to photoshop. However, if I want to do long-term image manipulation; photoshop, gimp, and open canvas are normally my choice ( in that order ). If i'm working on something that involves drawings or painted art, I tend to use Open Canvas.
IMHO Photoshop is becoming somewhat bloated with plugins and useless features.
...because i heard people on a *'not very well known' website that google was going to cure cancer.
*That's sarcasm for the magical dinosaur bones people. =)
I demand that the parent be modded informative! This could help people if there was ever a zombie epidemic!

What if one day googlenet becomes a place of education? Or even a government that would help locate you into your new job?
Is doing what we're told bad altogether or are people going to open their eyes?

It's the one at the wine section, about halfway down the page.

I hate it when people say things like "The Future of _____". It makes my homemade time machine completely useless. =(
