    Your point is? Nobody needs to load content from one website at 20mbit. If you want to max your connection, learn what a torrent is and download yourself some legal content.

    Fail. I use a dynamic DNS service. The reverse lookup of the IP does not match the hostname that I connect to, and SSH does not complain.

    The only protection you have is to verify the key fingerprint.

    Yes, because "responsible" goes both ways. They're being responsible by notifying the vendor before going public. If the vendor is not fixing the issue, it's time to go public.

    As far as I'm concerned a public release is still a responsible one. At least in that case everyone knows about it.

    Irresponsible is selling unknown vulnerabilities to private parties that will use them for their own gain. The vendor's customer's get screwed and the vendor has no idea that it's even happening.

    I favor this as well. The disincentive of using stores of carbon as an energy source will push the development of cleaner (and now cheaper) ways of harvesting energy.
