    "Devices" aren't PC's or solid platforms.....
    The day the pad, phone or tablet is an actual workhorse is the day it can go one on one with the Windows PC.

    It was retracted because of threats, corruption and one of their team become co-opted. Read some more and find out what actually happened. Never mind that ANY researcher trying to get funds to research GMO's for possible negative effects is asking for his career to end. Monsanto doesn't play fair when profits loom in the balance and they couldn't give two shits about our health.

    It's shills like you that continue to suppress the information that GMO's are a pandoras' box. There is so much information out here that Monsanto and their ilk you'd rather not know. Anti-GMO proponents are not anti-science (sounds like a fox news insult) they are on the side of labeling so we, the people can choose. The pro gmo faction knows if we have a choice, their products will no longer sell, and there are a multitude of reasons for this, but until you avail yourself of the documented effects of gmo's you'll remain ignorant of their dangers. Side with the Corps that told us that Agent Orange is safe and get back to me.

    You're not alone......I've been out here for twenty seven years with depression and it's been tough dealing with "drones" that just can't seem to understand that all people just can't think like them, especially in Corporate environments. I wish you all the best and luck in finding co-workers that aren't self immersed.

    The key is not meeting your SLA's and showing them why it's staff related... The old days of over inflating staff numbers so you're ready for any emergency is over in this day and age of cost cutting to keep profits up or costs down. Basically, people like you deserve better, and will never get it (hope I'm wrong there) because we're the real deal and not just lazy hack that doesn't give a crap about what their job entails. Most of my underlings won't do anything coming even close to troubleshooting at home since they do that at work, kind of a race car driver not driving his own home car....you get the picture.

    They already HAVE given their toys so much control over their lives it's frightening.... I probably won't live long enough to see the cloud fail, and get shredded to bits over security, performance and privacy concerns but I hate it when I remember who runs the show, the money and corps, not the technologists that see the train heading for the brick wall. Technology might have been brought forth to make our lives better, it was indeed funded to create more wealth for the yada yada yada.... I need to retire soon but I'm not obsolescent quite yet.

    Agreed but it's always been this way..... At least now I can meet "friends" of "friends" (Contacts versus acquaintances) without having to go out to mixers twice a week with people I'd sooner show the way out than invite over to my house for dinner.

And I've also started to notice employment oppurtunities being linked to the "who knows you" from it too....     Processed Foods, lack of exercise and a general abandonement of traditional values (no, not religious). Six months spent on a farm eating foods unaltered by profit goals and working from dawn will do wonders for your figure.

    Happy you do not suffer the curse... I do, it's been a lifelong affliction and no amount of medication is going to help me. People "off" themselves for so many different reasons that the thought of biological markers is funny to me. There is no doom switch component to be found, we all have have the capacity to feel despair and get cancer. Some people get better, some don't, some end.

    Yeah, nice words but history has a way of showing how badly it ends for those who are the first challengers to authority...they are literally forgotten for fear of their existence creating an uprising....kind of like those Black Panthers that almost all died in Jail for calling for a Black Homeland in the US, a piece of Utah segregrated. I think only one still lives, and is still incarserated as a Political Prisoner.
