    actually no, that means 80+ years ago that was true but now a high voltage dc transmission system is in fact more efficient, uses less condutors, eliminates need for sychnonization between different systems. HVDC also preferred for undersea long distance transmission because of less capacitive losses.

    so your having to worry about antivirus signatures is due to people having the freedom to explore and couldn't possibly be due to running Microsoft's bloated, poor quality crapware for which pre-teens can write malware, rather than a real OS?

    you can no more abuse a robot than you could abuse a brick. The brick doesn't care and neither does a robot or vacuum cleaner. Passing laws to pander to stupid people is dangerous and takes a way proper freedoms and rightful liberties.

    in real life compressed air motors get about 7-15% efficiency in industrial applications, the compressed air car is a horrible waste of energy

    no, it's funny because java is such a pig even though its a compiled language. Even the objective COBOLs are faster than Java when it comes to actual oo tasks. And for performance intensive tasks, Ruby deals with compiled libraries very well, thanks.
