    Not sure where your from, but most of us here don't like the idea of cameras, let alone cameras reporting on any "suspicious behavior" we might be doing at any given moment.. We like to think we live in a free society based around citizens, where the country is run for us and is a product of us as a whole as opposed to being subjects of a government. Basically we belive people's rights come first and not governments rights. Governemnt is an extension of the people. People aren't an extension of the government... Follow?

    How come not one person out of these millions noticed that line about tapping your computers unused cycles and wrote to a news site pr here about it?
    Why did this come out only when brilliant filed with the SEC?

    I remember going to the Trenton Computer Fair 8 years ago and finding a great bargain! a 5.25 full height drive that could hold 1gb!!! our bbs was gonna rock(loved them 0-day warez d00d).. we paid 20 dollars for it..which at the time was like a dream.. so it was probably hot... but it worked :)

    Top-end hardware support. Bluetooth, firewire, CD-RW, DVD, etc etc. It's all built in to a point that you don't even think about using it. You can burn a CD by drag-and-drop from the desktop for crissake.

    I just gotta know... what do you use bluetooth for?

    Did anyone here stop to think that maybe the following is true:

    There is a malicious group of programmers inside Microsoft that add code to the things like search-assistant(or whatever its called since i don't use it) and other products that explicitly do things that are BAD .

    Microsoft probably doesn't even know the group exists! Come on Would microsoft really want anyone's personal information or surfing habits? This is obvioulsy the work of some malicious koders!!!

    Well that or collusion with the DOJ in exchange for dropping the lawsuit they put this feature and send IP's to the DOJ of anyone searching for kiddie porn ;)

    I personally only use amazon for reviews and a good listing of lots of books availble to myself and then i go down to the local bookstore(really good in New Hope, PA) and buy it there :)

    Basically i think the guild is upset because such a "high profile" bookseller such as amazon sells used books. I would think that if Barnes & Nobles(which they've stated they won't do) started a used book section at their physical stores they would get upset too. basically they think everyone should by a NEW COPY of the book.. Imagine a world when i finish a new book by say.. terry pratchet(damn discworld rocks) and give it to a friend to read.. and i could go to jail for it!!

    Hmm maybe the book guild should team up with the RIAA....
