    No it is not incorrectly named. Secured credit is backed by assets and collateral. Unsecured credit is what you have to pay back, it's like a loan.

    If it crackles near the connector, it's likely that you can fix it with a simple solder job. You might lose a few inches of cabling but that's better than shelling out for a new one, especially if you're proficient in soldering.

    Yes, I am a genius. Pre-secured credit cards don't affect your credit rating and you don't have to worry about losing any more mone that you put on the card itself.

    You also don't have interest to pay on pre-secured credit cards.

    Are *YOU* using a pre-secured credit card? If not, you are being unwise.

    You can drop 120V DC down a serial string of LED (specced to closely match that voltage in series) all day long.

    Actually, I have no issues doing that totally blindfolded. I have a very strong innate sense of direction, even with the disadvantage of suffering from BPPV.

    We have plenty of software that can allow us to 'hear' things.

    This is how I hunt for exoplanets. I take the Kepler data, input the plotted brightness measurements, assign each area a musical note, and then LISTEN to it.

    Much easier to listen for a pattern like this than to look for it amongst seemingly random noise.

    That contract doesn't exempt them from following the law.

    Getting around HTTPS by essentially being a MITM data-gathering tool is very likely against the law; I believe there are criminal penalties for circumventing security measures and violating someone's privacy.

    To add, 33.8 is a slightly sharp C1. It's about halfway between C1 and C#1 on the musical frequency scale.
