    Um, no. The 650nm laser in DVD drives can read the 780nm IR pits on an optical disc, as 650nm is shorter wavelength.

    You only have a second laser for writing.

    I've seen and experienced everything up to and including my own death in real life - TWICE.

    As a gamer of over 25 years, I'm quite qualified to know what makes a good game.

    You want to know what a better game is?

    Sonic Fury, on the Action Maxx.

    Yes, a game on a console that required a VCR for games, with a far inferior set of hardware to what Minecraft runs on, has better graphics, better gameplay, and essentially solid framerates.

    And all you're doing is shooting a little lightgun.

    Oh, I also have quite a bit of programming experience, since my entire research facility runs on Asm-level code.

    So I'm in a much more unique position than you would suspect, in all fields.

    As far as 'Romance' goes, I've seen more 'Romance' in the porn videos at the local Romantix where I work as a part-time clerk. In a porn PARODY movie, at that.

    More like boredom. Tile-based Ultima games had more of a romantic aspect than this. The entire Ultima world had more of a romantic aspect.

    We need a more robust semiconductor industry. More locally-available REs would hopefully (idealistcally) cause a price drop from local suppliers, making their equipment more affordable. For the local LED industry, this could be a MAJOR boost.

    Just FYI, there are car AC units that are quite efficient. One watt of input power moves out 4 watts of heat for 400% efficiency.

    Semi-Passive techs like phase change heat pipes are wonderful devices.
