    Nope. more often than not it's multiple sims running on an underpowered server. Most people buy the cheap-o option which is like a quad-core opteron with 24 other sims running on it.

    Inconvenient? I got my Wii from the Best buy outlet on eBay. Not one hassle minus the fact it was one of the Wii models with the problem with Super Smash Bros Brawl, but it came with warranty and Nintendo replaced the faulty unit no questions asked.

    And they would list on ebay instead of their own site because on ebay they stand a chance of making a higher profit off of an item, you know, idiots will pay the price for something they want badly enough.

    That should nicely trash the rest of your post, logic be damned. Corporations need to be DESTROYED, as all they're doing is helping themselves and hurting the country. What's the term for an entity that causes harm to its own country, WILLINGLY?

    AC has it right. Also, the NFL has no rights over what happens to anything transmitted over the airwaves once it reaches my property, it is mine to do with as I please, including recording it, encrypting/decrypting it. I may not rebroadcast (but that's purely due to FCC rules and regulations) but the FCC ruled specifically about OTA broadcasting and things like the use of police scanners for citizens - once that signal hits your property, it's yours to do with as you please.

    Of course, the media corporation's response is to try to force everyone to Digital *COUGHMODIFIEDANALOG* broadcasting and encrypting the media OTA so it would be a violation of the DMCA to record it successfully.

    Only for the purposes of taxation. With the 16th amendment Lincoln paved the way for a corporation as a whole to be known as a single person instead of as individuals, which sadly creates a whole legal mess of who's to blame?

    Most of the photosynthetic response curve is in the blue and red areas, orange is actually pretty low in the curve and thus many plants do not use that wavelength.

    That doesn't work totally. It seems some RST packets work directly with the modem (at least with mine) and regardless of using iptables the modem itself will stop and reset.

    Recently I gave up on my PS3. Even Assassin's Creed on my LAPTOP at 1440x900 (and laptops are known for not having good graphics) runs smoother than the PS3 playing the same game in standard definition. It's sad when a gaming console gets beat out by an all-purpose machine. A PORTABLE ONE, at that.

    That's Because MythTV sucks. Just straight mplayer with Ubuntu 6.10LTS on my old 1.8GHz P4 did 1080i HD DivX without much of an issue. Bear in mind this was the first-gen P4 with a measly 256KB of L2 cache, as well, running on a paltry 64 meg GeForce2 MX400 (the crap of the line card for the day) and a half gig of PC2700.

    For playback of a 1080 DivX file, I only needed 512 megs of RAM, windows XP, and a 2.0 GHz single core Athlon64. That was well more than three years ago. Actually my old 1.8GHz P4 handles it, with just a tiny bit of stuttering when seeking in VLC.

    I must agree. I really wish things would get done in Assembly. Sure it takes a long time to code, but it compiles down into a very small package that runs amazingly fast. (See MinuetOS for an example.)
