    You misunderstand who the "customers" are.

    I live in Canada. Up here in America's hat, GlobalTV Canada has given NBC $X million dollars for the rights to air Saturday Night Live. In exchange, NBC has agreed to not distribute SNL up here - So most of the videos I might want to watch online are regionally blocked.

    NBC's 'customer' isn't me - It's GlobalTV Canada.

    Ditto all the other regionally blocked content here in the Great White North.

    The TRS-80 Level 1 only had 64k ram. I remember having to trim code to get it to fit and run.

    Believe it or not, the Model I "Level 1" had 4K of RAM. The Level II brought it up to 16K. If you added an "Expansion Interface" (also knows as the "Expensive Interface") you could increase the RAM to it's maximum: 48K.

    So the Model I never got up to a whopping 64K...

    A former coworker who worked in a Soviet client state during that period told me that the distribution of printers was controlled because it was a "printing press" and could be used to create anti-government propaganda for distribution.

    This is what frustrates me so much when people refer to the USA as a 'police state.' They have no idea what a real police state is - In a true police state you can't even have a printer.

    Early 5.25" floppy disks could only store around 180K of data

    The single-sided, single-density 5.25" floppies I used with my TRS-80 Model 1 stored 72K of data.

    There's two kinds of door-lock modes -

    - Locked, but can be unlocked with code that crew knows. "Pilot going to bathroom mode."

    - Locked, but cannot be unlocked with code. "Hijacking - No one's getting in mode."

    In your example, co-pilot suffers seizure, pilot unlocks door with code and flies plane.

    What wasn't anticipated was co-pilot putting door in hijack mode then hijacking plane himself.

    No - They haven't found the plane because of the size of the search area.

    I'm surprised how few people seem to get this.

    The search area is choppy, stormy ocean and is the size of Australia. To put that in perspective, here's a map of Australia overlaid on the USA:

    The companies that own the data still think they can gouge the automotive market, even though the mobile prices have been driven down to the floor by the likes of Waze and Google Maps.

    Not really. We just licensed Google Maps for an application. Literally cost millions of dollars. Google doesn't give that stuff away for free.

    Could it be that it's reasonably easy to get media for free?

    If it was 1985 and your options were to copy an album, cassette or VHS tape (in 'real time') would you have spent more on entertainment?

    I don't experience this. My friends on Facebook and I engage in wide-ranging debates on subjects as diverse as Putin, gun control and trans issues, with nary a peep from the prison guards & parents that you seem to think run Facebook.

    You do know that you're not allowed to have negative opinions anymore, right?

    Of course, but you're expected to write a post explaining your contrary position, ideally backed up with a cite or your personal (anecdotal) experience with the product in question, not just mindlessly downvoting something based on the fact you played with Trello for four minutes, or that you disagree based on ideology.

    OP: We use Trello for the tasks you're asking about, and it works well. I'd say the only hiccup is it's a little unclear what it means to 'archive' a card vs. deleting it or designating it as 'complete.'

    "Entitled" doesn't enter into it - What enters into it is what the law says - And the law says they can examine your phone and computer at the border.

    That's what's about to go in front of a judge in Canada.

    I don't understand. They log into your phone and look at pictures of your going away party. They look at the emails with subject lines like "First Day at new Job Instructions."

    Then they turn to you and say "Are you *really* here on vacation?"

    Border guards should be restricted to searching for physical contraband.

    Border guards are also responsible for enforcing immigration laws.

    the difference is that there cannot be any contraband , explosive or whatever illegal stuff stored in the phone. which is what custom agent are paid to check.

    US CBP and Canadian CBSA are also enforcing immigration. It's typically these violations that they're looking for on your phone - e.g. you claim to be on vacation, but your phone is full of emails from your new employer with details on your new job or your upcoming marriage.

    They must suspect everyone, because every suitcase gets X-Rayed

    Not by border services. Plus your bags are scanned on departure, not arrival. Border services are interested in what you have in your stuff when you present yourself at the border.

    At the border they're not required to get a warrant to inspect you & your stuff. Then can go through your briefcase, your pockets - Everything.

    I've never flown in the US without getting one of the TSA inspection notices put in my luggage

    A TSA security inspection of your baggage is different from a Canada Border Services Agency or US Customs and Border Protection inspection as you cross a border.
