  1. Typical on Following Bill Gates' Linux Attack Money · · Score: -1

This just proves further that microsoft is incapable of making a good product and therefore have to drag another down to make themselves look good.

There is no hope for the american government, they are too inflewenced by lobbying and nothing can change that, let them buy microsoft products and keep fooling themselves, because in a few years they will be the only ones buying it.

I wonder how much they can inflewence the european union though, so far they dont seem to be taking much shit from microsoft but im sure they have taken a few bribes for software patents & the DMCA-style law.

At the end of the day it is common knowledge that linux is free and microsoft costs a fortune, and no amount of advertising, lobbying or spin-doctoring is going to change that.

Why dont we just have a bunch of people with no possesions post some infringing code on our behalf and evil microsoft will take them to court and sue them. of course microsoft will have to pay their lawyers and the guy with no money will defend himself and drag the court case out as long as possible. If say 100-150 people do this on a regular basis then very soon they will stop enforcing their patents Software patents dont make any sense because there is no real money to be made from publishing free software and therefore no damages to be extracted from the guy who publishes it. Its different if you make a tangeable good and it actually costs money to produce and market and there is a profit made from selling it.

actually not, if there are a lot of base stations then the handset will not have to use as much power to transmit to the nearest one. and if there are enough base stations some will operate on lower power to make room for the others

A decentralised phone network would be nice, where people just run their own .8 to 2 watt bases and share their DSL-Bases. where if someone else uses your base you get "points" which can eventually be turned into money. It must be completely decentralised and encrypted so there is no big company on top getting fat from it. That should end the rip-off
