At the end of the article, there is a registered trademark symbol for no reason.
The Register puts the registered trademark symbol at the end of all their articles. In context it is not a registered trademark symbol, more a sign off or end of article notice.
Fortunately no, the case contained it (for this my knee is eternally grateful), but there are bulges in the case now. I guess I was lucky the shell was of good quality.
At least your Viao didn't explode like mine.
Sorry, that's somewhat sensationalist. What really happened was that the PSU exploded on boot the other day (the bits aren't large enough to figure out why), and took out the mobo HD and RAM chips, three days outside the warranty period.
Damned if I'll buy Sony again after this, combined with the DRM fiasco.
On an unrelated note would anyone like a cheap DVD-R drive? For the cost of postage?
That's actually (part of) my current work assignment. As another *child of the parent mentioned, we are using ActiveX controls with c# to make this happen.
Note that the remit is not to make all possible MSWord docs transferrable, but rather to make documents which follow a certain template transferrable. My boss has already agreed to make our source available, once we're running stable. (and for once, he has the authority to do this!)
I'd much prefer to see the effort put in to energy saving appliances and devices so the effect can be noticed for the entire year.
Again, I agree with (most of) what you are saying; however, we (society) in this case have already moved to optimise "an infrequently called function", that is, we implement DST.
Are you recommending we put work (advertising abolition, creating devices that do not automatically switch, etc. ) into reversing this, whilst implementing other energy saving schemes?
To me, it makes sense to maintain the status quo, wrt DST, and implement further energy saving schemes.
PS: apologises for the delay in replying.
Or perhaps people should be sold on the idea of replacing incandescent lightbulbs with screw in replacement fluorescent lights.
Your solution is certainly a good one (and one that I have already implemented in my own apartment, with a noticably reduced electricity bill); but why do you consider both solutions to be mutually exclusive?
Windows is 64-bit polish to a 32-bit shell.... yada yada yada.
/. so maybe is should add in "turd" in the appropriate place...
But this is

From my own experience, not only can you filter by country, you can filter by region; but, as a sibling post mentions, it's probably spoofable.
My cell phone does this ( apart from point 4 ).

Because it's naturally brighter in the evening, people use fewer electrical lights when cooking dinner.
