Yes, you need something to extend range, but it should be a small, efficient diesel generator, not a double-clutch, computer-controlled monstrosity like the Prius.
The concept has been working since the early 20th century on locomotives. The Diesel in the locomotive is a generator, nothing more.
WHY NOT DO IT WITH YOUR SUV?
I miss the time when we could buy cars that put the entire responsibility of keeping the car on the road in the hands of drivers.
If I want to do a maneuver that seems like a better solution (flipping the car's tail out while purposefully messing with the throttle to induce a controlled sideways skid on a wet road) to avoiding a dangerous situation, traction control already messes with it. I wonder what it will be like with systems like these being applied as mandatory safety features.
So they basically microwaved (or induction-heated, or whatever) the genes into working.
What will happen when a patient undergoing that treatment gets thrown into an MRI machine? will the nanoparticles turn into popcorn?
I hope implementing it in the right way (with publicly accessible statistical and analysis methods) will shed some light into how we're being tracked. Is there an equivalent of Collusion for Chrome?

Just use a half decent router (a hacked linksys would be nice, so you can play with the xmit power settings), two can-tennas (buy for 20 bucks or make them yourself, no great skills necessary) and line-of-sight (could put the antennas on the rooftop, or up on a mast)
I think a woman ambitious enough to not have divorced her husband after what he did just to obtain power is a very VERY dangerous person.
Plus, Obama looks like a smart, down to earth guy, at least from South America.
Here in Argentina, most Linux-Preinstalled computers come with Linspire or Mandriva, although there's a new "generation" of cheap computers coming with Kubuntu preinstalled.
Down here in Latin America, where exchange rates make Windows licenses unfairly expensive, many stores have chosen to sell Linux preinstalled on their computers to lower the cost, so at least down here there's a large amount of people having their computer experience turned to Linux from the very beginning.

Main article: American Revolutionary War
On 10 January 1776, Thomas Paine published a political pamphlet entitled Common Sense arguing that the only solution to the problems with Britain was republicanism and independence from Great Britain.
On 4 July 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence was ratified by the Second Continental Congress. Note that the war began in 1775, while the declaration was issued in 1776. Until this point, the colonies sought favorable peace terms; a majority did not approve of an outright push for independence.
The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, commonly known as the Articles of Confederation, formed the first governing document of the United States of America, combining the colonies of the American Revolutionary War into a loose confederation of sovereign states. The second Continental Congress adopted the Articles on 15 November 1777.
The British continued to blockade the American coast, but French merchants, with funding from the French government, sent in large supplies of munitions.
British attack the South, 1779-1781
That fleet was defeated by a French fleet, however. Trapped at Yorktown, the British surrendered their main combat army to Washington in October, 1781. Although King George III wanted to fight on, his supporters lost control of Parliament and the war effectively ended for America.

The only Pajeros you'll see in spanish-speaking countries are gray-market imports, since all official imports were labeled as Montero.
At least where I live, the Chevy Nova was never manufactured nor sold as an import, and snopes.com reports the Nova story as an urban legend, although it would make it into a pun because nova could be read as No Va (doesn't go), therefore, it could be read as Chevrolet No Va (Chevrolet Doesn't Go).
The Tiburon was effectively marketed as the Hyundai SCoupé (Sports Coupe)

Not really. Several automobile brands have had to change their model names before entering spanish speaking markets.
For instance, the Mitsubishi Pajero is known as Montero in Spanish speaking markets because Pajero means "wanker", literally.
There's a Nissan Laputa, which in spanish would mean "the whore" also.
And the Hyundai Tiburon was simply calle S-Coupé, since Tiburon means Shark.
I think it is because Intel has enough market leverage to get everyone to buy "Centrino", "Viiv" or whatever their marketing jockeys come up with next, therefore making sales on some of their products (chipsets, wi-fi chips for centrino) and making some other companies happy too (for having the possibility to charge a little extra for their co-branded stuff)

See corporations are people without gender. They want to be able to marry each other.
Then they can file a joint tax return and have children.

Actually, Steve Jobs is God, that's why he pays attention to every little inane detail, while at the same time not coming out with great products
An illegally modified American DC-10 (they used titanium instead of aluminium, which is illegal)

Xenix was the BEST unix around, MS used it as late as 1989, long after they had sold it to SCO. Xenix became SCO Unix.
And so should 640k of RAM (Bill Gates)
