RE:"So, what will happen. The card-manufacturer might fix the bug, nobody updates"
There are millions of wifi hardware in all the Staples, OfficeDepot, CompUSA, Walmart, etc... all with a CDrom with the vulerable driver and joe & jane sixpack are going to buy it and never bother to find an updated driver...
while in office and while GWB is alive i think it is obvious why his profile will be protected, i hope in a few years time history will look more objectively towards the nations leaders (including GWB), displaying thier blunders and mistakes as vividly as their success...
as a US citizen (like many others) i have been bombed and hounded by advertising for so long now that i automatically ignore all advertizing like ignoring the background noise in a factory...
i would like to see a graphical qeualizer or something similar so i can remove all the loud music (drama effect) in TV shows, i hate it when the music is drownding out the dialog/conversation
as anyone knows reading my coments knows i am no IT guy, but i do work construction and done it for years, most commercial office buildings are built not with lumber and a lot of what is called sheetmetal stud and track, also there is sheetmetal HVAC ducts & etc.; lots of metal, well anyhow metal always blocks radio signals so within a large building with enough walls to go through i can see why wireless will have limitations...
i would imagine a large enough office building would benefit from a repeater system like some ham and commercial radio systems already use...
i barely trust the internet on my PC, there is no way i want the rest of my household appliances having internet access, and especially being run by MS-Windows...
i hear ya bro, i wont even get on another person's wintel box to check things as trivial as email for fear that trojanized keyloggers could steal my info & send it do some CyberCrook...
i tend to think the internet is what the individual surfing the interweb makes of it, to the *nix guru it is a great place to share info and software, to the not so informed doze user loaded with spyware and kludge it is a racket that is about to steal his identity & etc...
i keep an older version of adobe's acrobat reader for Linux version 5.0 and copy & paste in to a text editor works in it too...
i hate the new acrobat reader. some claim it calls home to the mothership(Adobe) which i dont approve of either (spyware)...

because that is the nature of governments to usurp more power at the expense of its citizens either by force or deception...
exactly my sentiments, i trust natural selection over a profit driven corperation any day...
considering the dark side of human nature and what geneitic manipulation corperations like Monsanto are doing i applaud Norway for doing this...
