    still, legalizing it would be the better option, Colorado already proved that with the tax revenue they brought in from legalized marijuana, plus it frees up law enforcement to pursuit more serious crimes, empties jails and prisons of otherwise law abiding citizens that were only merely in possession or smoking a small amount of herb, i hope this forces the federal Govt to finally realize that marijuana should be legalized just like alcohol (legal for any adult, and no driving under the influence)

    as society progresses in to the future it brings with it ideas and things from the past and present, look at the car, from Henry Ford's Model T to a 2014 Ford Mustang, sure they are very different but they both have four wheels and a windshield and steering wheel, gas & brake pedal, seats, etc... the idea does not change, it just gets refined and improved upon

    my motorcycle can barely top 90 mph, but i love riding it, I have a dual sport (street legal dirt bike) and it is my only form of enjoyment is going out looking for cool trails to explore on, i wont give that up but i could live without a car if i have to

    a small house only requires a small heater, since i am going to insulate it and hang drywall (sheetrock) i will also install a small wood stove, something like a ben franklin stove that i can also cook a meal on, i got to cut costs or end up homeless, it is not a matter of choice it is a matter of necessity for survival, i can tolerate heat, if i can get a water well drilled and a manual pump i will get a livestock tank and put some water in it and during the hottest time of the day during the hottest time of the year i can dip in to the water and cool off a little,

    i am basically going to buy one of those big fancy storage buildings that dont have plumbing or electric installed, park it on some land in a secluded spot out in the middle of nowhere, buy some insulation and sheetrock, and some wiring 12vdc and fix it up with solar panels, but i am only going to run automotive grade stuff, like a AM/FM/CDplayer made for a car for a home stereo unit, 12 volt DC lights, etc... and use solar panels to keep a bank of batteries charged up, i am going off the grid (mostly) soon, i got to cut my living expenses or end up living on skidrow with the rest of the homeless, i already am working on drawing up plans for solar heated water and a composting latrine (all legal too)

    why not do this, build Jessie in such a way that during the install of Debian Jessie put an option so the user can select either init system so there is a tick option to either select systemD or old traditional init system that debian has used for years, can Debian Jessie be built in such a way that during install the user has a choice to go with either system???
    i been using debian & slackware exclusively for the last few years because they are the last two remaining old school distros and if Jessie goes full tilt towards systemD i will be forced to abandon Debian

    i have to agree, i was running Jessie for a while and systemD is just awful, i rather have the old init system that Debian has used for years, it works and i figure if it isn't broken don't fix it, i have since removed Jessie and switched to Slackware and have made up my mind to stick with Slack and keep my eye out for using only non systemD distros

    i hate high tech hardware that is locked down for my own good, maybe bought an Android tablet for the specific purpose of wiping android off and putting a vanilla Linux distro on it like Debian or Gentoo or maybe Slackware, and most tablets wont boot from other sources, and even if you mount it as a removable storage device and manually delete everything you can on it once it reboots the dang system gets replaced with a fresh copy (system on a chip???) i dont know for sure but i really hate tablets because nothing can be done to them and i got to run the OS that comes with it, and google store is packed full of crappy spamware, ok rant over because i am digressing, thanks

    Absolute and Salix are two distros not listed i can say they are good distros that stick close enough to the parent distro that you can mix packages

    Slackware is not using SystemD and has no plans to use it, and more than likely the child/forks of Slackware that stay close to the parent will not include SystemD
