    yeah, i would rather buy a PC or laptop without an OS (or with Linux) than with windows included,,,

    some people just refuse to use/want or buy windows, i am one of them...

    microsoft will lose, they can not dictate what hardware specs or what operating system is installed other companies put in to their laptops, this bullying by microsoft needs to stop some judge with cajones and integrity needs to put microsoft in their place...

    it is amazing how uninformed and ignorant school teachers really are, i think government owned & run schools are as bad as any in washington (run by a bunch of corrupted reprobates) shameful!

    on another off topic note i listen to ham radio & pirate radio on a shortwave radio as a hobby, more often i hear ham radio operators mention Linux :D

    yup, the quality of the receiver is exactly the point, i have a Drake HF/shortwave receiver and an Icom HT (vhf & uhf) and both perform superbly with harmonic image rejection and adjacent channel rejection, i also have a cheap AM/FM stereo receiver (made in China) that is a complete piece of crap that can not receive radio stations beyond 10 or 15 miles away and a strong local station about 5 miles away that bleeds over on just about every frequency in the entire FM band (87.9 to 108 )...

    i love rooting around in yard/garage sales sometimes i find some good deals on old radios, what i have done to dirty radios is i remove the covers, speakers microphone if it has one, basically strip it down to the chassis and circuitboard the i put it in a dishwashing machine with about a cup of vinegar, then when it is done i dry it with a hair dryer (hand held blow dryer) and once it is completely dry i reassemble it and it works like new...
