Is it just me or has anyone even witnessed these flash ads? I use Google regularly and I have honestly never seen an advert. Perhaps I am just immune and have learned to completely ignore anything that doesn't pertain to my relevant search.

I even tried a a few searches even after I read this article and I do NOT see the advertisements. Like many web jockeys I think that we have been conditioned to simply ignore ads. Is this really a problem? If so I have not, in the least, been affected.

Sure I want Google to "Do no harm," but they are a "for profit" company. Is it any surprise they are trying to subsidize their search engine? If you equate diminutive advertisements with "doing harm," then you have forgotten that we live in a capitalist country and that things are not soon likely to change. Get used to it. 9. Re:Can you pick based on one policy area? on Best Presidential Candidate for Nerds? · · Score: 1

No. The beauty of a democracy is that it is supposed to right itself. Occasionally we will lean to the left or right. However we have denied critical parties and views from the public. For instance when Ralph Nader was denied from joining a debate in the last election.

Here is a man that has nothing but experience with consumers (i.e. You!), yet he was denied entrance to a well televised debate. This was a man with much better credentials than any other candidate....but his radical nature was excluded.

There are radicals to be heard in this country and it is only right that they have a voice as well. If we don't elect someone that is sympathetic to radical demands we will most certainly have an uprising...evidenced by history. I wouldn't consider myself a radical by any means. Just a historian with a good grip of things to come...based on experience.

If you have a society based on diversity than that diversity must be expressed in your politicians and your policy. It's time for a change.

And for some reason this doesn't get a high mod score. I also use Epson...RX620. Expensive but it copies, scans and can be used without a computer. Ink costs are in line with that of the new Kodak. 14 dollars for large black cartridge and 8 bucks for color. And lest I say that the image quality is outstanding! Buy the warranty for three years and complain after that time that images aren't printing as they should and you'll get a brand new printer. And I guarantee you that after three years they won't print as they should---just a fact. You'll be given a credit with Staples for a new model at the price you paid.
