Or, and this may be a real possibility, they are simply batshit cuckoo-bananas insane and just can't stop fighting a battle that they lost a decade ago.
In "The Armed Citizen" in American Rifleman than on Slashdot.
This was in Queens (City of New York). The city government has made it quite clear that only felons are allowed to own weapons there. This wouldn't have happened in a state/city where the Second Amendment still exists. And I agree with you completely. This would have made a great article for the Armed Citizen. It is the one section I always read in American Rifleman.
The way this case was handled; the way this case has proceeded; and what's resulted so far... all support your criticism.
Wow Ray.
I love reading your posts and getting your insight on these cases. But this sounds like you have lost all hope. I pray this isn't the case as you are one of the few that see that the legal system can fix this by following its own rules. Please don't lose the faith Ray.
In my younger days, quantity was more important and I would often "do the dog". This had several advantages. They were eager because they didn't get much attention paid to them. So not much work (or money) was needed to woo them. They would also be eager to please and would do things that the hot girls wouldn't (think swallow). Now I find that there was another great reason for doing the dog. My swimmers weren't as eager and it saved me a lot of child support money.
Yes, I am old enough to remember going bareback and not worrying (or even knowing) about AIDS. It is a different world now.
The combination of Oxycodone and Acetaminophin (Percocet) and Hydrocodone and Acetaminophin (Vicodin) are long past any patents and have been available as generics for years. I'd guess late 80's.
It took a whole year after the US was attacked to justify declaring war against Japan? Is this some kind of mandatory waiting period like when we buy guns?
Agreed. I work for a company with 17,000 employees and it can take a while to 1) get something tested and approved 2) get something rolled out. When you are talking about an OS there is even more involved - Hundreds of apps to test for compatibility, security and group policies, compatibility with old hardware, etc.
Add to that the usual military BS. I did a 4 year stint in the Navy and if I remember correctly it takes 7 signatures just to go on vacation. I can't imagine how many signatures you'd need to roll an OS to 744,000 desktops (Geez that's a huge number. Can that be right?)
Aside from the time it takes to get things done in a huge organization you have the simple fact that Windows 7 is brand new. I wouldn't suggest my mom roll out W7 before SP1. Certainly the friggin military wouldn't do that either.
Half the time I don't use mod points and now that there is something that needs modded up, I don't have any.
This is exactly right. This planning probably started about the time Vista was released. For fuck's sake, does anybody think an organization is just going to press a magic button and upgrade everything and it magically work with every application too?
Where was this Verizon when the warrantless wiretaps were going on? They are a business, they have no obligation to help with police work. It may have been nice but it is not necessary.
I wish Verizon had grown these balls much earlier.
I did it. I managed grocery stores through my 20's and early 30's. I got my degree at 35. While in school, I quit the grocery business and went to work at Comp USA (Yeah yeah I hated the place too). Started as a sales weasel until there was an opening in the Tech dept (repair and service).
When I got my degree, I had a few years of IT (yeah yeah, Comp USA and IT don't go together.) under my belt and got a job in a University IT department as a Help Desk Service Coordinator (one man complaint department). I got this job because of my dual abilities of being able to manage people (from the grocery business as a manager)and because I understood technology with my repair bench experience. I hated every minute of it but it got me in the door.
One of my responsibilities in that position was to work with the different IT departments that were constantly bickering over whose job it was to take care of any given situation. I earned a reputation as someone who could troubleshoot AND get things done. When a position opened as a domain/exchange admin I jumped at it and got the job.
So 9 years after getting my degree I now manage the windows admins, unix admins, mainframe admins, and DBA's at this University.
Yes, you can do it.
Now the bad part. In order to do this, I went into extreme debt paying for school and working for peanuts at Comp USA. It took me most of those 9 years to pay off the debt I accumulated while getting to where I make a decent living now. It is a lot of hardship, a lot of dedication, and some luck in landing a position.
If you are ready to take the step, good luck to you!
So are you going to complain when there aren't any addons? If someone takes the time to code the addon they should be able to ask for whatever they want for it . It is their labor not Blizzard's. If they do it for their own pleasure and the thanks from the people that use it is enough payment for their labor then the developer can give it away for free.
All this will do is reduce the number of addons available. Blizzard make good games but has their head up their ass when it comes to understanding the people that play their games.
The intention of the Second Amendment was to preserve the ability of the people to be able to overthrow a tyrannical government as the colonists had just finished doing. While I don't want to see shoulder launched nukes in every household, this was the intention of the framers of the Constitution. Any law infringing the right to keep and bear arms (ANY ARMS) is unconstitutional no matter how many times the Supreme Court refuses to hear these cases.
Read the Federalist papers. There is plenty of discussion on what the intent of the Second Amendment is.
ATI is going to write better Linux drivers. How many times have we heard this? What you have to realize is ATI can't write drivers period. Their Windows drivers are the biggest piece of crap on the planet. Yes, they may be better than their Linux drivers but they are still not good. ATI needs people to write drivers for their hardware.
First off I believe that the US is wrong. This forcing of morals on us is wrong. But I am going to argue against you because your argument is flawed.
Gambling is regulated by the States not the U.S. government. As long as gambling is done inside the United States, the U.S. Government can't do anything about it. We have free intrastate commerce that is not controlled by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does control import and export. It does not control intrastate commerce.
I can sell my widgets to any person in any state in the country but I cannot export my widgets to another country because it has XX that is illegal to export.
I think a third grader could write a better review then that steaming pile of shit. I think a third grader knows the proper usage of the words then and than.
Or, and this may be a real possibility, they are simply batshit cuckoo-bananas insane and just can't stop fighting a battle that they lost a decade ago.
Ding ding ding. We have a winna!

Anyone ever realize that maybe Texas should succeed?
I bet Texas already thinks they are successful. Did you mean secede? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/secede
December 7, 1942 justified war with Japan..
It took a whole year after the US was attacked to justify declaring war against Japan? Is this some kind of mandatory waiting period like when we buy guns?
Now that they have tested that it indeed can have outages, it is ready for release. Until they had outages, it wasn't fully tested.

It has arrived. Evil people start moving toward Vegas. Good people will be found in Colorado.
Who has been talking to you? The Old Lady or the Walking Man?
I understand some of the prizes but why would they give someone that has an iPhone or an iPod already an iPod?

Seriously, how many connectors out there do you know of that let you plug it in any way you feel like?
Vagina is the first one that comes to my mind.

Where did they get that hottie shown in step One (Click)? Is this a Gpr0n star?
Point taken. You are correct. It just seems that I have only seen the bad ones.
