    For personal: Ubuntu seems to be the most convenient
    For work: CentOS as it's a very close experience to Redhat Enterprise. This is helpful when testing deployment strategies into work environment.

    Discounting remote controlled robotic devices like drones, robots and such, I think compromised devices like google glass, iwatch and other wearable technologies can be very dangerous, if not fatal.
    Think about driving over a bridge or 2 way traffic when random zombies start loading in google glass, or your phone transmits a virus over to your bluetooth connected car, etc. All plausible scenarios that can take place

    They would have had to steal more than just specs. They'd need the operating system, or source code as mentioned in the article, to make it functional.

    Correct -- I could imagine that there are lots of "heartbleeds" in closed source software that can and will be exploited. Whether it becomes public and puts pressure on the development staff to fix, is another story.

    A well tuned view finder and computerized system will definitely do a better job than most drivers; since it won't succumb to distractions such as rubber necking, cell phones, or hot chick doing her makeup in an adjacent car.

    It will also save many lives with all the drunk, medicated, and/or sleep deprived drivers out there.

    yes, and input output should be more comfortable. If both items are to take PDAs to the next level, then I think the netbook wins.

    Why?

    Tilt screen and keyboard. who cares about multitouch and a huge screen if communicating with the device is cumbersome.
    Maybe the iPad would make an advanced digital photo frame.
