The new global government is here? Have all the Democracies, Republics, and Kingdoms been dismissed? Is there a song to hail the new multimedia owned corporations as overlords? I mean, whos ass do I kiss? Oh wait. I'm not a Brittish judge. Fuck those people.
I agree. Taking away advertisement money to sites that post nagative oppionons about candidates because they linked to an article, or snipped some of a "copyrighted" article into theirs, is about an inch down the slope PIPA will take us.
And talking about it on the internet accomplishes nothing.
I completely disaggree. Talking about it on the internet works. All the way up to 2000 we didn't know how much congresscritters were getting paid for pushing legislation through or who was paying them. Now, with the internet and sites like slashdot, we hear about who is voting for what and who paid them to vote for that what. We need to continue to talk about what they are doing while we still can. If not, IMHO, the day will come when we will not be allowed to. Having web sites people can pull up on their phones while standing in line at the voting booth that shows detailed info about the candidates voting history and business relationships, again IMHO, will fix the system.
Wow. Good question. Each of the modules has its own readme with info on how to implement it. Obviously, you no longer need to go through the build process if your using FreeBSD 9. I don't know of any new docs or a howto. Sorry. However, the info from each of the readme's on this post help. There should be more up to date readme files with FreeBSD 9 but I haven't checked.
It is the new U.S.A: a government by the people who have money for maintaining ownership of the people who dont have money. Figure out a way to become the highest campain donor or support a candidate that works cheaper. [/snark]
CCF for those of us that like flow based firewalls is a very nice addition. Cling and Clang are definitely nice to have. I'll have to read up on Capsicum. I can't tell if it is an enhancement to jails or a replacement.
"when the first thing I see when I run IE on a new computer is a browser choice dialog"
Sorry to take so long. Installing Windows 7 Ultimate takes a while. I've opened IE. I don't see any mention of browser choice. Wait, it is doing something. No. That is Windows update not finding a network connection. Where is the browser choice dialog?
Your confusing us with Russia. Russia built and supplied Germany with fuel and weapons. Fortunately for Russia, someone was smart/maniacal enough to pinch a few tanks off for the locals just in case.
"Which is why it is funny in a way that Lord Astor has suggested that HS2 is unnecessary and an improved Internet backbone for better video conferencing would be a more sensible use of the money."
Interesting. Would he be up for using the remaining money to create collocatable jobs?
Making sure government runned agencies fail so you can privatize it sounds familiar. I wish I could pin point where I've seen that happening elswhere. [/snark]
"However they couldn't call it nationalisation otherwise they would have had to pay an extra £1.5bn to the shareholders"
Interesting. Find public oriented company that would get bailed out by the government if it failes, invest, run it into the ground, profit. I keep saying, "we Americans can learn from the Brits"; but, nobody listens.:P
"I have come to love Bing's playing of the videos when the mouse is hovered over them."
If only Yahoo! News could incorporate that so the videos, that are always "no longer available", show that message instead of users having to wait through an advertisement and 12 cookies. Sadly, advertisements and cookies are the only 2 things that seem to work properly on Yahoo! any longer. IMHO of course.
I think it is ironic that Microsoft fights like hell to make sure the customer is using their browser but leaves the security of the system "up to the user". As far as being scary: Is it any more frightning than the OS itself telling you, "Your unprotected! Get AV now!"? Why the hell would they want to frighten customers about the security of the system instead of just adding it to the OS?!? Insanity!
It looks like Tizen is using EML instead of Qt. I haven't completely explored all the docs but so far it looks like; HTML5, jQuery mobile, WebKit, EML.
The video made me wonder if the GPS and motion detection abilities of todays phones could be used to correct the object after the balloon popped then launch an amature rocket. Sounds like a potential way to get the phone all the way out of the atmosphere. I wonder how long the phone would last in space.
I'm thinkin no.
er... The judges decision, not the IP.
What shiftless said and the fact people are getting older. Some day those 15-35 year olds will be 65.

I tried doing that but always came up with the same image. :P
You forgot, "then amend it to totally fuck people over later when nobody is looking".
This gives them that control.

A large 1080p TV with multitouch +1. Having my behavior monitored by [insert corporation here] -10.

I vote for shiny too.
None of those are C/C++. Apple is Obj-C, Google is Java, and Palm is... well, pretty much too dead for anyone to care.
