Flash's Stage 3D works on Windows with IE and almost works on OSX. WebGL works on any platform that can run Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc... That is not exactly wide spread.
NASA is not the only thing in the U.S. that advances technology. Alternative fuels, and computer technology are others. Carter was that 1970's president that told Americans they need to focus on science, alternative fuels, computers, and math to compete in a future world.
The space program was killed in the 70's because of the Vietnam war. Carter tried to return the U.S. to a space and science society but got caught up in the beginning of the newest form of war.
Oh wait, my bad. Unlike WebGL, Flash 11 works on Windows, kind of works on OSX, and the users that could have been their user base are told to go fuck themselves. Nevermind.
Enforcing high quality secure software written in the U.S. would be bad for the U.S. Quality and security have always been bad for a company. eg. DEC and SUN It stands to reason it would be bad for the U.S.
RISC was always good at SMP. Back in the day, that was its biggest draw. If they had a 28nm process it would have been unprecedented news. What is really interesting about this chip, IMHO, is the embedded router. It brings to mind the MPC860.
Should read: Was hired to track people that sold content that had been cracked.
Good for him. He was getting rid of a menace to society, pirates. People that crack then post the content to the web in retaliation to DRM or just to show the public the content was all hype are not pirates. Lumping the two together is the reason they are having so much resistance. The fact that they are using the same funny math calculations to show damages in cases against people trading/sharing music is the real crime.
Nice investment for the future. A bigger investment would be to find replacements for the materials the world has become so reliant on China for. Maybe some other AAA country will focus their attention in that direction.
Communication between QA and dev is a given. If it isn't, you have a major problem. Communication between QA and tech support should also be a constant. The best leaders of dev teams, IMHO, work from within tech support.
are most IT organizations really that poorly run that developers are totally unaware their software is sending messages that are generating network storms
How is it the IT organizations fault the developers are unaware of the effect of their software? Is it the IT departments responsibility to debug software?

How long before people actively use their knowledge of how one thing effects another so as to manipulate the system into doing their bidding?
This guy is looking to get rich quick not contribute to human knowledge
Agreed. He is a toned down version of the guy that invented the MYT engine. http://www.angellabsllc.com/mytengine.html

Who approved the Space Shuttle? Nixon.
As a publicity stunt. He cut NASA's funding to pay for the war.
I usually get 4 comments when I do that. I'm starting to feel ignored. :(

A window can get infected? Lies I tell you!

it is to protect you from catastrophic errors with driver access. as in "access web site == system locks"
Flash Player 11 allows 1,000 times faster 2D and 3D graphics rendering performance over Flash Player 10
So they have finally caught up with WebGL?
That is true. It might also explain the lack of stability in some operating systems. I think your on to something.

I'll just have to find a home for my transmaro.

So my "move to Canada" fund needs to be adjusted to "move to Australia". Do they have trailer parks in Australia?
He could demand the source, release it to the community, and end up with an open source project with community support.
LOL. I'm trailer park you're insensitive clod!
Rebooting a politician requires a 2x4x4 stick. And a nail. This, I'm sure, will require a much bigger stick.
