  1. Re:I guess it may not be that profitable on Spammer Bankrupted by Anti-Spammer Suits · · Score: 1

Yeh, I'm seeing a lot more spam using the sexually explicit tag to stay within the law.

  2. Re:Dont bother - why? Parallel to OS Wars on Objectively Comparing Competing Search Engines? · · Score: 1

Actually, Unix and Linux administration is still done almost entirely through the command line. In fact Windows has been severly criticized for being unable to do everything one can do in the GUI through the command line. So it isn't so farfetched.

  3. Re:Not quite on New York Court Says Telecommuters Must Pay NY Tax · · Score: 1

Exactly. It would be really interesting if one could invent a perfectly fair Tax system where you only have to pay in exactly what you use. Would require some insane administration complexity though, enough so as to make it complely impractical.

Indeed, they are roughly about 1/2000th the mass of a proton.

Actually that would be a very usefull ability if in fact it could discharge 80% of its capacity in a minute, for that would lead to a awesome power-density.

  6. Re:Cell vs HPC on BlueGene/L Puts the Hammer Down · · Score: 1

Im sorry, but DP at only 10% of SP seems utterly useless to me.

  7. Re:This is why US is waaay behind in cellular tech on Major Hangups Over the iPod Phone · · Score: 0, Troll

SMS tends to be so much more popular outside the US because voice service is so much more expensive. Voice service is so cheap in the use SMS never took off. Not to mention that typeing on a cell phone sucks.

You know, on Slashdot you can say shit. This isn't Fark! And I would really have to wonder what would happen if somehow someone found evidence that conclusively proved that evolution could not produce modern lifeforms. I already see a certian level of dogma in what Richard Dawkins says, like his response to spirit is broken Michael J. Behe's charge that some biomolecules would have been impossible to have evolved. Dawkins just said that they MUST have evolved and we just weren't smart enough to figure out how.

  9. Ah, you ever hear of PEN COMPUTING? on Review of the 8 Hour Tablet: Electrovaya Scribbler · · Score: 3, Interesting

Judgeing by your comment I wonder if you realize that Tablet PCs are fundamentally pen-based computers. And the pen functionality is VERY slick indeed. I have a Toshiba M200 and its I never get tired of whipping it out in class and using it to take notes. Its really helped my to improve my note taking.

  10. Re:Exactly... on RFID Music Player · · Score: 1

Like I said, I have a VERY bad memory and am always forgetting where I put things, so having it implanted really does appeal to me. Se, I want a door lock that only locks from the outside, always automatically locks, and automatically unlocks when I open it. To anyone else trying to open it it seems like its locked and to me it magically isn't. Same with my computer and car. My car would just have a big start button that would only work when i pressed it.

  11. Re:Exactly... on RFID Music Player · · Score: 1

Because I have a TERRIBLE memory and am always forgetting my phone and wallet, if its implanted its pretty hard to lose, and also is much more secure, being very difficult for others to use.

And that freak who ran 265 miles without stopping in 75 hours. He was on Letterman.

  14. Re:Exactly... on RFID Music Player · · Score: 1

Indeed, I'd even be willing to have a RFID tag implanted in my hand in order to open my doors, my computer, and my car. Very handy.
