I think it would be much more effective if instead of throwing away old PC parts, we either recycled them, or "donated" them to a warehouse of sorts that takes them apart, rebuilds them as needed to make computers for those who need them, but can't afford them.
You seen to forget that 1 small PC part can EASILY cost twice as much as a console and a couple games...
Consoles are a great way to play great games with a limited budget.
What my parents did was just take a important part out of the computer, that they knew I couldn't easily replace... such as the power cables, or sometimes the memory...
Of course now that's a joke and I could easily get around it, But when I was a kid that stuff isn't easy to come by.
Theres plenty of ways you can restrict your kids online behaviour, Parents need to start taking care of their own kids and stop letting the computers do it for them.
Half of what I see on the net isn't a form of english at all, most of it is crap from people who aren't very intelligent, and butchered the language..

I don't think it's an evolution of the english language, but more of a step-backwards...
They have plenty to satisfy their players, and even if 500,000 players suddeny drop their subscriptions becuase of downtime/lag/etc, they are still racking in a huge amount of money, which is all every game is about, they weren't made to entertain, they were made to provide a source of income.
When you log-in and decide which server you're going to use, it tells you wether the server has a low, medium, or high population, also each server is color coded from green -> yellow -> red.
Yo ucan change your server at any time, and they hold events every few days that will allow you to migrate your characters from oen server to another for free.

Octave is fairly easy to run on windows via http://www.cygwin.com/ also.
I rarely eat breakfast in the morning. However I'll ocasionally stop by Chikfila on the way to work and grab some chikin minis.
It would be nice if it support extensions like Firefox, thats the only thing holding me back from using it.

Althoguh I never "finished" the game, I came pretty close to it, and I'll definately play it through a second time just for the expansion.
