    hmmm...
      - Is the subject of many books and articles.
      - Has high priests who speak in a way that the masses don't understand.
      - Doesn't have any effect on 99% of what you do.
    In what way are operating systems not like religions?

    Really good books pay a lot of attention to the traditional techniques of book publishing. This book has the best index and colophon I've seen for its subject.

    The problem is that all of the expensive, useful compounds have been combined into composite materials. The gold is in thin plating, the copper is mostly insulated. Extracting them is either too expensive or too polluting.

    On the other hand, if the cost of recycling was included by law in the original cost, and turning in the equipment to a certified recycler got you back a deposit, then it would result in less e-waste and more easily recycled designs.

    You could also just write your answers in chalk on the sidewalk. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, but with chalk you can remove incorrect answers by just peeing on them.

    Who says SSD don't have sectors? Erase blocks are around 128K or larger. Pages to write are 2K typical.

    The logo is not protected by copyright or trademark, it is an international agreement in the Geneva Convention. It doesn't expire.

    You have it backwards. Johnson & Johnson sued ARC for licensing the Red Cross logo to companies who make first-aid kits claiming they own the trademark, even though its been in use since 1863 by ICRC.
