    I think it's ridiculous that we're bailing these people out; it's disgusting that they are so important to the economy that their collapse will cause a huge failure.

    Interesting point - that laws are able to be broken, and, as such, people can follow them based on belief, fear of punishment, or not at all.

    And, yes, it is the citizen's responsibility to make their own decisions.

    Yes, but you haven't met most 'mainstream' musicians. sure, there's lots of people who play just for fun, and I used to be one of them. In fact, I still play from time to time; it's just not my favorite thing in the world.

    Dude, anyone in a plane can 'zero-in' on your house. It's essentially being broadcast. It's not a breach of privacy if someone sees your house; now, if they see something that you have a reasonable expectation of, such as your wife sunbathing in the nude... that's different, and sexy. But it probably won't happen.

    Really, any new technology is good - we will weed out the bad ideas, keep the good. Ideally, we will take the best from each and mix it together, producing a superior solution to anything else.

    Her dad is a lazy asshole, who, despite working a full time job and pulling in an average of 2 grand a month can't be bothered to help around the house at all, or even contribute financially. The rest of her family treats her like the outcast, despite that fact that she's the only one who even stands a chance of getting accepted into college.

    As to why I can't help her, I'm in college, and broke.

    Dude, not everyone who's on welfare is lazy. Besides, it's not right to punish a child for their parent being a fuckwit.

    This is a land of opportunity - without some basic assistance, some people will HAVE no opportunity. Look at my girlfriend. Her mother can't work because of a VERY serious back problem; her father won't do a damn thing to help. Without some assistance, she wouldn't be able to do a damn thing with her life.
