    This means that the law in Switzerland is less absurd. In Germany the fee is not for using your computer or cell phone to watch TV, but just for possessing a device that could in principle be used for watching TV. Nice, right?

    Since I live in Germany and I don't watch TV as a principle, I think this fee is imbecile and unjust. And unless the penalty for doing this is death or going to jail, I am just not going to comply. The GEZ bastards cannot enter your home without your permission, so just tell them to go fuck themselves.

    Were any Mac users hurt here? If not, then Apple shouldn't give a fuck. Windows users should run their antivirus and firewall and anti-spyware software at any time anyway.

    You can still configure it to make it the way you like. But yes, tabs are A LOT harder to use for me too then they were before. And it has nothing to do with the learning curve or anything. It is just about having 50+ tabs open and still be able to use them efficiently.

    they did modify the program to run on what it does have: 4x4 matrix operation units for multiplication and addiction.
    This is also what my mother was always telling me when I was a boy: "if you play video games you'll become an addict". She was so right.

    I think the only feature that would make web office suits worth it would be real-time multi person collaboration. You said EditGrid can do that. How responsive is it? Does it allow text messaging or voice? Does it allow commenting? I'm just curious.

    The very fact that there are 17 of them tells you that at least 15 of them are not competing with Office any more than a kid on a bicycle is competing with Lance Armstrong.

    For now they are competing with each other, but at some point they will get into the way of Microsoft. Hope they are rife enough by then.

    And remember that Lance Armstrong was a kid on a bicycle once too.

    You can compile Java to native code.

    They plan to open source the Java SE Development Kit (JDK). That includes the class libraries.

    As parent pointed out, most of the "new" Blogger features are actually standard now in WordPress which is not only better than Blogger in about every aspect, but it's also open source. I seamlessly migrated my blog from Blogger to Wordpress a while ago, and I'm not even thinking of moving back.

    Package management with dependencies... that's why I switched to Debian.

    That's also the reason most of it's users love Slackware, me included.
