This means that the law in Switzerland is less absurd. In Germany the fee is not for using your computer or cell phone to watch TV, but just for possessing a device that could in principle be used for watching TV. Nice, right?
Since I live in Germany and I don't watch TV as a principle, I think this fee is imbecile and unjust. And unless the penalty for doing this is death or going to jail, I am just not going to comply. The GEZ bastards cannot enter your home without your permission, so just tell them to go fuck themselves.
Were any Mac users hurt here? If not, then Apple shouldn't give a fuck. Windows users should run their antivirus and firewall and anti-spyware software at any time anyway.
You can still configure it to make it the way you like. But yes, tabs are A LOT harder to use for me too then they were before. And it has nothing to do with the learning curve or anything. It is just about having 50+ tabs open and still be able to use them efficiently.
I think the only feature that would make web office suits worth it would be real-time multi person collaboration. You said EditGrid can do that. How responsive is it? Does it allow text messaging or voice? Does it allow commenting? I'm just curious.
The very fact that there are 17 of them tells you that at least 15 of them are not competing with Office any more than a kid on a bicycle is competing with Lance Armstrong.
For now they are competing with each other, but at some point they will get into the way of Microsoft. Hope they are rife enough by then.
And remember that Lance Armstrong was a kid on a bicycle once too.
You chose the worst programming language somebody would like to see mixed with anything. C++ is already bloated and obscure just by itself... no need to cross it with Java. Think of the children.
As parent pointed out, most of the "new" Blogger features are actually standard now in WordPress which is not only better than Blogger in about every aspect, but it's also open source. I seamlessly migrated my blog from Blogger to Wordpress a while ago, and I'm not even thinking of moving back.
Thank you for taking the time to explain :)
Q1: What's an Apple higher education discount? Q2: What are the prerequisites? Q3: Were do I get it?

Here you go.
There were show-stoppers that had to wait for 3-4 years. Soft hypens? Who cares?
Who is using Ada?

Yes they mention it ... but they forgot to put it in the table with the online spreadsheet apps. Not a big deal though.

IBM spreading FUD about Sun, how is this news?
Your windows is slow because of viruses not because of Java. In order to prove this to you we'll install it one day on your computer and you will see.
You chose the worst programming language somebody would like to see mixed with anything. C++ is already bloated and obscure just by itself ... no need to cross it with Java. Think of the children.
If I could compile a native executable that Just Worked(tm) then I would love it.
You can compile Java to native code.
Mono is still a better option.
Where? On windows? No thanks.
They plan to open source the Java SE Development Kit (JDK). That includes the class libraries.
Then again, java would also have to completely revise their J2EE APIs, but that's a different rant...
... like this?
You mean
The purpose of Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 3.0 is to improve the EJB architecture by reducing its complexity from the developer's point of view.

Package management with dependencies... that's why I switched to Debian.
That's also the reason most of it's users love Slackware, me included.
