Why a risk? It's an adventure game. These things look better in 2D if you ask me. I mean, come on, look at the low poly characters in Monkey Island 4. Sprites look a lot better than those chunky soulless things. And those controls...
Not that I'm totally against it, in Grim Fandango it was nice because it fit the whole thing (except those pesky arcade style controls). But why do they keep on doing all of them in 3D? Is it because most people just won't buy a 2D game? These people probaly don't play adventure games anyway... ah well, why am I bitchin', there are 2 new adventure games on their way! yipee!
I remember how I always wanted to go adventuring in the sewers as a kid. But I think we only got the small kinds here... it definently look crammed down there. I want big sewers too!
"If you're a web developer, why do you care about anything but IE? Everybody has it. Unless your site is about *nix, you want people to see your site."
No, unless my site is about windows specific stuff, why would I target IE only? Many things on a webpage has nothing to do with the computer platform being used what so ever.
Anyway, as long as you follow a standard who cares about what browser people are using, that's the whole point right?
Yeah it's his story and characters, and so fucking what? What will he loose with people using his characters? Why are people always so paranoid and over protected of their ideas.
Please! You can't own ideas it's as simple as that.
I don't now anything about Hurd but one reason could be that some people (including myself) do care more about the underlying philosophy than if something "just works".
No there isn't.
This was the game that started the whole 3D console navigation adventure thing. I love Grim Fandango, but damn those controls

Mozilla 1.1 and Konqueror in KDE 3.1 will both have a download manager.
I think I'll have to give *BSD a try.
That way I can call my system KGB instead.
I actually think it was a joke (then/than, grammer, grammar). Not that I'm defending him or anything. I could care less about spelling.
blah blah blah... are you done?
Oh no, the users have to download a free virus scanner like AVG to remove it.
Unless you're from Europe of course.

Uhm.. yeah, may I remind you that they have done NOTHING wrong? So why the need to go over spelling and grammar?
And what kind of judge would that be?
Judge: "Lemme see here... you can't spell so I won't even bother to look at the evidence... guilty! Case closed!"
Heh... they did, you know.
It's called Escape From Monkey Island.
And a 2D one before that. No AI NPC's though.
First they track all your habbits, then with a little prediction...
"We're putting you under arrest for the future crime of software piracy".
I know, but in his the first sentence he applauds discrimination (anti-multicultural).
Oh great, we have fucking racist here too.
"I applaud the wise anti-"multicultural" policies"
"I'm white, thus I'm discriminated against"
How does that go together?
You applaud discrimination of black people and then you bitch about being discriminated because you're white?
I always wondered how a racists mind work. Does it make sence to you or do you have a big internal conflict going on?
Strange how you trolls always get your disgusting views into every thread.

Or use affine texture mapping... which looks like crap, oh well.
Don't know if it could pull that off either.
True, but lame rip offs or not, Star Wars is still Star Wars.

I remember Impulse giving away older versions of Imagine when a new version was released. Not open source though.
I always found it peculiar that Sierra called their old adeventure games 3D. "Look, you can walk behind things, it's 3D!".
I don't now anything about Hurd but one reason could be that some people (including myself) do care more about the underlying philosophy than if something "just works".
Well, it couldn't Hurd... BADABING!
4294967296 - 4000000000 = 294.967.296
and lose almost 300 Mebibyts? No thanks.
And that's bad exactly how?
On the internet the world is your neighborhood.
I think it's probaly confusing when you use only one point:
0.9, 0.10
because we're used to reading that like a decimal number.
But when you have two points:
0.9.0 0.10.0
I think it's more obvious.
