  1. Re:Insightful, not funny on China Passes Internet Copyright Legislation · · Score: 1

The Swedish Pirate Party wants a five-year copyright term, while allowing all non-commercial use from day one.

  2. Alien franchise on Lara Croft As The Final Girl · · Score: 1

All the Alien stories I've seen, be it movies, comics or books, have a Final Girl. Ellen Ripley is of course the most well-known, but there are others, for example in the AvP movie.

  3. Re:socialist-democratic not communist on The Pirate Bay is Here to Stay? · · Score: 1

What the heck are you talking about? The Swedish "social-democratic" government has long been on the forefront of restricting personal liberty.

  4. UK's not the only one on UK Government Wins Villain of the Year · · Score: 4, Informative

Sweden's Minister of "Justice" has also been pushing for the retention laws.

  5. Re:Original XBox Controller? on Top 10 Worst Game Controllers · · Score: 1

I definitely prefer the Phat One to the Slim. IGN's dissing of it seems rather stereotypical.

  6. Tales of Phantasia for the SNES on Games That Push System Limits · · Score: 1

Now that's a game. It surpasses FF6 in both graphics and sound, featuring a j-pop song and a kick-ass sound tester with a graphic equalizer.

Bomber, Advanced, Defender, Phantom... the list goes on. :)

  8. Color schemes on Computers, Long Hours and Vision Problems? · · Score: 1

I use green text on black background whenever I read long texts onscreen. I tried to change the entire Windows color scheme to match, but since programmers almost never expect deviations from the default, it was unusable. When I have to work with bright backgrounds I turn the screen brightness and contrast down as far as possible.

  9. Norway and Switzerland on It's "1984" in Europe, What About Your Country? · · Score: 1

In reply to the editor's last question, the countries outside the EU will hopefully remain unaffected by this new resolution. It's also possible that it will be found unconstitutional before it's implemented in the EU's member states.

No, the sky was really orange, due to the city lighting up the clouds.

  12. Re:mirror on NASA BlueMarble: Next Generation · · Score: 1

The torrents in http://snowy.arsc.alaska.edu/nasa/torrents/world_b ig/ doesn't work. The tracker says it wants nothing to do with them.

  13. Blocking out the world on Blocking a Nation's IP Space · · Score: 1

SHO already blocks all non-US access. The article speaks of this being a slippery slope. I recently started to use a proxy (easy to turn on and off with Mozilla and PrefBar) to go around it.

  16. Re:isohunt.com - gone? on MPAA Cracking Down on TV Torrent Sites · · Score: 1

IsoHunt is not gone, it works just like before. Maybe there's been some DNS hijacking on your end of the web.

  17. Re:Admit it. on Music Industry P2P Claims Dismantled · · Score: 1

The most popular "misspelling" is Brittany Spears. However, there's actually a fairly well-known woman who goes by that name.
