    The movie version is completely Hollywoodized. While it may be easy to say the "War of the Worlds movie is bad, so everything War of the Worlds is horrible", remember that often excellent stories are chopped up, minced and gutted when they are ran through the movie industry.     While Ramen was technically invented in the 1970's, I just can't help thinking about how ramen would have tasted 4000 years ago. Would it be plain, or maybe chicken flavored? How about beef flavored? I really wish I knew, but all we have now is a microscopic noodle-shaped, tubular shriviled up mass that would probably taste horrible if mixed with water. :/

    yes, that is very, very true. The middleman technique often works getting around many kinds of laws. But, I still wonder who their middleman is. If it is another US company, then they would still be breaking the sanction law. My hunch though is it is probably some shady distribtor in China, the Philippines or some other country without sanctions against Maynmar.

I mean, aren't American companies, especially technology companies prohibited working with such repressive governments?     Well, that could be a logical conclusion from the article. BUT, what also occurs during major sunspot activity?. Mondo solar flares! Yes, they may help suppress the Cosmic Radiation. But, I sure wouldn't want to be stuck somewheres in the vast space between Mars and Earth with one of these monsters heading for me. The spaceship would be hit like a rowboat in a hurricane, in terms of solar radiation.

    For some absurd reason I cannot connect to www.cogentco.com. I have tried going to it with a web browser and pinging it, but it doesn't connect. The ping returns:

    "Ping request could not find host www.cogentco.com. Please check the name and try again."

    but, when I ping it from nwtools.com, it works just fine. I can connect to many other websites, but not to cogent. I am on a verizon DSL, if that makes any difference. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?

    I have been searching up and down google for a video, and I have yet to see even a reference to a site with it. According to this article, It is a 30 time-laps movie of 3 hours while the giant squid was tied up. If you find a link, please post.
