Interestingly you can change the search provider (in search bar) very easily in this build (I had to do a registry hack on the vista beta to change it to google). just click the arrow on search bar and select "find more providers". it will take you to this microsoft site page http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/searchguide/de fault_new.mspx# where you can select most of the top search providers including google and yahoo

actually its not. skype is one of its kind which uses p2p and has encrypted communication
also that the structure of html makes it possible to download image but not show it by making it 1px x 1px. what if there is a website which does that and you end up in jail although you never had any chance of preventing that?
isn't it better that instead of deleting or boucing back emails; just add something like "possible spam" to the subject of the email and let it go to intended destination. the ISP has done its part now its user's choice. he/she can configure a rule which checks if the subject contains "possible spam" and configure it be deleted/moved to folder etc
just that antiviruse, antispyware, antimalware doesn't make your productive. They only aid you in being less productive.
They make you less productive anyway since you have to maintain them, update them and alot processing power and memory to them.
because software is like books... just some information or instructions. it cannot be compared or set example with car or tv... compare it with a book or a manual which tells you to utilize existing tools or hardware.
the best virus scanner is user itself. Virus scanners can only stop already known viruses.
I find virus scanner realtime protection really annoying since it further slows down IO processing (which is bottleneck in most desktops). instead I just take precautionary measure while downloading file like run on demand virus scan after downloading, check signature/ file version and don't execute if it look suspecious. I also check the process list in task manager every time I open it especially programs running in USER context. look out for suspecious processes like system.exe or xpsp2.exe or any other process pretending to be system service but running in user context. another well known worm executer process is rundll32.exe. Although itself its a legitimate process but since it can execute other worm like dlls (some variants of msblast and other) so I make sure that no instance of it is running which I don't know about.
if you statement is true then no one will need money anymore. you can replicate money or anything else (food?) you require. you are contradicting your own statement. COPYING BITS OR BYTES IS DIFFERENT
exactly... as long as there is a possibility to play game on a platform... there will be games available even if its a small 128x128 pixeled phone so its much more a safer bet on PC
You could sort of rinse away a broken computer and let bacteria eat up the remains to be composted," Wolkow said.
Greeeaat!!!... Now we can have actual viruses eating up our computers... maybe even catching flu and coughing...
sure... just that there are other countries beside US... and they are far capable of disagreeing with US IP laws and making their own chips... plus Internet is not exclusive to US as well
sure... just that it never been that usable as google map is from the first day... it was a cool thing but then never tried to make is usable for everyone.
one word. clutter
I switched back and forth between doitallphone and classic phone. The truth is that where classic phone is far more conviniet in terms of battery life right now, I would rather carry a car charger and one doitallpda then N separate devices which can only do N things

or just turn off the system restore. it will not only save your diskspace but make it far faster than if you turn of any other serivce(s).

human brain is an analogue processor. No such processor exists to date.
I'm fine with DRM as long as I can install my pirated windows, office and run my pirated mp3s
its really sad to see a company fall which took an alternative approach to processing. Hope that their technology don't get forgotton.
