Don't move to BC. Move to Alberta or Saskatchewan. There are large scale oil rigging operations in both of the provinces and a huge labor shortage in almost all professions including IT.
I liked the second one, the warrior within, the best. Perhaps due to its darkish style or perhaps because of its twisting story. Sands of time was a great game too.
To be honest, none of the phone/smartphone available in the market are suitable for serious administration. Sure you can get ssh client for almost all the smartphone oses but typing on any of the phones is a bitch. Don't even think about doing VI or Emacs as none of the phones has the full keyboard. Well except for running some quick scripts or checking the status of a server or so, its impractical. As some of the posters already suggested, a small PC like EEE coupled with a 3G modem might be a much better idea though you can't carry it in your pocket.
What makes you think that a company which couldn't capitalize on The Internet (which, I must add, was their particular playground) will be any more successful in integrating products which it doesn't even make aka TV, Stereo etc?
Okay just to clarify, I believe that it is their official policy (leaned from friends who work there) to have their employees use live search first and only use alternate service (read: google) if they cannot find what they are looking for. They also are encouraged to provide feedback on what they couldn't find.
Its a free service after all. If you don't like it then don't use it. Their TOS from TFA seem to suggest the same that they have no obligation to remove anything.
Good argument however you forgot one thing. People won't USE live search. Why? because according to your own argument, the only thing they are concentrating on is money back, and no one will go to live.com and wait for their shiny graphics to load just to search for best digital camera which, mind you, will only be a small percentage of the search a person does on daily basis.
And again, advertisers don't advertise in a newspaper which is solely made up of ads. They advertise in a newspaper which has meaningful contents and more people read.
How is it hard to believe? Almost all of the embedded CPUs today come with no heatsink (with comparable processing power to the 486SX or even a pentium 1)
Well you should thank them unless you want them to read you some of their poetry.

I would if only I could find a single website which actually uses it. Reminds of that thing called zune which was suppose to help me get social.
Apple never claimed to be OPEN and TRANSPARENT and neither am I aware of any attempt by them to hijack standards.
Have a nice day trolling.
Facebook has advertisement deals with Canadian Companies. Choosing to abandon that revenue, whatever it accounts for, won't be that easy.

And yeah, I do work in Calgary, Alberta.

Laws that only apply to criminals.
There, fixed.
Anyone with decent paws should not be buying a mouse anyway... Go and look in the basement. Put your southpaws to some good use :P

I don't remember microsoft's foot ever getting injured though... Crappy aim can be useful :p

which the rest of the world already knew; that they cannot kill google by cloning their every product.

Slashdot is loosing its touch.
In soviet russia, cognitive enhanced overlords welcome I?
I don't think EULA is a legal document and even if it is, it isn't enforceable in most cases.

Sorry, couldn't help it.

Nice try though.

Well, another one of the most visited site in the world has no "Web 2.0" content either.
Never ending my foot. Depending on which computer it is written (or executed :p), this story could be as big as 640k to 3.5GB.
Moreover I propose making a giant space vacuum and swiping it across the universe to end this missing matter mumbo jumbo once and for all.
>and to allow those arguments to be debated and defeated in public
Hypothetically, what if the arguments made by the terrorists make more sense than the arguments (WMD, Alqaida, National Security) made by the govt?
Don't you understand why a govt requires censorship in the first place?
