But I get a headache after about 45 minutes. The only good 3D stuff I've experienced was 20 years ago in the states, where you had IMAX screens coupled with moving seats which made the whole thing awesome and engrossing and made the whole experience better than a 2D film. These were mostly in places like the grand canyon or theme parks and were not overly long films, but the 3D added to the immersive experience.
I've not been to watch any of the new 3D movies as honestly I don't expect them to add anything to the experience, except give me a headache and eyestrain. If you can explain to me a situation where you need the extra information to work out what is in the foreground/background then fine, but I suspect that I can quite happily manage without this being used to working this out from looking at 2D monitors/TV most days.
Err, not really sure what would have been better audio as CDs used the best quality recordings available at the time which was DAT, which is where the limits come from. I'm not entirely sure that there were any better analogue recordings either, as they all have other issues such as noise which can be a very big issue.
Also I'm not convinced you can actually hear anything about 22.05 kHz so 44.1kHz is a reasonable compromise, especially as this was at the very limit of what was possible 30 years ago.
I think it very much more simple than all of that, he's obviously just taken a couple of polaroids stuck them in front of the cameras and then he's just walking around in front of the depth sensor, so the software is just using the depth information to alter the still images. Not really clever at all and as far as I can see damn obvious from the video (the pink border which shows on the right hand side).
As to movement, I think they generally take points away from the fault, say 50 or 100 miles on each side and look at the relative movement of each. This does not mean that each side of the fault line has moved relative to one another, it's more like bending a plastic ruler, it has some give in it, but move too much and it'll snap. So the amount of relative movement of each side can give you an idea how much energy is stored and therefore how big the earthquake is going to be. As it's not like roads on the fault line need to be repaved every year to align them.
Have you ever read The Register? At what point have they ever been sensible or meek? I find it more amusing that the more respected British press covered the story.
They'll just make it compulsory to access their databases, at least all the Oracle stuff where I work requires Java. It might convince shops to give up Oracle, or being as they have already bought into it, they might just keep paying...
No we just reject the idea of entirely free speach, as most of the western world does. When they start prosecuting people for what they think, then I get worried. But I'm fine with regulating what people say.
By this do you mean you have alternating current, as that is not the same as phases, which normally come in threes, 120 degrees separated. This being something which allows it to be a total power across the 3 phases of 0.
But that is a monopoly, why would anyone look anywhere else if they know the best deals are always at Amazon? Small online retailers can't offer special discounts or offers if they are not allowed to sell below the Amazon/Apple floor, you don't get effective competition hence why it needs to be looked into.
Turning the engine off, always a good call if nothing else is working, it can't work if there is no spark (OK, so this won't necessarily work for diesel engines).

Ah how you must want the BBC.
He's already in the 10%* so statistically at least he should be dead. *IIRC this is the survival rate at 5 years for pancreatic cancer.
Yes, yes it will, just take the corners off using a lathe.
Wouldn't expect them to lose much light at all, being as they are only being fed polarised light from the projector.
Black Jack and Hookers?
No is low tech, take couple of polaroids, stick in front of cameras. leave the depth censor alone, walk around in front and ta-da your invisible.

(2 phases 120V each, 180 degrees off.)

I don't know telling all Twits* to line up against the wall would make the revolution much easier to start...
*People who use Twitter as Twitterers is unnecessary.
I'll give you three dolla and fiddy cent for it.
I would have gone for an Austrian patent clerk...
IIRC some 'clever' people once used up 150l of liquid Helium to run an AMD Phenom II at something ridiculous like 6.5GHz.
Bah, /. stop screwing with my whitespace.

OMGPonies or just regular ones?
Can you tell me at what point logic became part of the English language?

If it is dead, but still walking around, you have a zombie. You want to sever the head, or destroy the brain. That or nuke from orbit.
I think you mean lock not chain, my bicycles, without chains, are useless.
