The functions you describe would probably work a LOT better from the application level anyways. As having the keyboard send a backspace could be bad if the user changes the location of the cursor or if they change windows.. aka you could end up replacing the wrong thing.

the problem is if its going to cost that much and take that long for fix the system they have... why not buy a system thats already production ready.. only issue there would be importing all your data from one system to another. I know data imports can be hard but its a lot easier then trying to fix a system that really should be retired. I know there is also training that has to be done but the time line would be so much shorter and be the same or less money

I have to agree with you here. As a consultant i often subcontract work out and make contracts with these people before the work begins. When they are done making artwork or code that i did not want to make myself the deal is that i own the work. If they wanted the ability to use the work for others i would consider working a deal with them however once the contract has been completed and all the work becomes mine. Same thing here i feel. The biggest part is the base idea came from Lucas. He wouldnt have even made the mold in the first place if it wasnt for lucas hiring him.

I once used to agree with your view on religion as well. However your view lacks many other aspects that you really need to look at. Before you can throw religion to the curves maybe you should study religion a bit more from a sociology point of view. You will find that religion is not only empowering of the "leader" but empowering of the members. Check out the works of Weber. Yes it will be difficult to accept that religion is needed however that is where all the studies point.

Microsoft will have to deal with Intel and other large companies going after them for IP violations. So what starts as a chair thrower spouting out gibberish turns into an all out industry war between the open source camp and the Microsoft camp. This will continue as it has been unless some on decides they don't care about making money. Think of the current situation as the nuke stand off. The package we provide allows user to securely log into a terminal server located at your main office (sometimes hosted by my company) and access a full desk top with nothing more then a web browser and Java installed on the computer.

This system is ideal as it removes the need to have copies of the data located at multiple sites other then backups. It also prevents the problem of a laptop holding sensitive files.

The key thing is you might not get $$$ anymore but you can still get $$ so its only the huge money grubers that ran from the field.
