Might not work when you try and add it to the steam account. Valve might either a: detect it as an out of region game and block it, b: intentionally or not put the same restrictions in as soon as the game updates
What about a system like steam where even when you buy a physical copy it is linked (at least at one time) permanently to your account. Same with most MMORPGs I have seen that actually require purchase of the game, etc.
What is fun is it is getting to where it is difficult if not impossible to resell the license when you even buy a physical copy, unless you sell every game on your account. You are basically buying a one time use key to add to your account and (sometimes) make the install process quicker.
Prototype SED screens (thin CRTs) have been made and I think still are being worked on. They also eliminate some of the other downsides of CRT screens (flicker, for example)
It is possible to avoid making a narrow strip but most people don't do it.... Just make sure at least one column can be stretched horizontally without looking terrible. The biggest issue is there isn't an easy way to say 'make this x px (or name your favorite unit) wide and then expand the rest of the page to 100% of the screen's width'. Or at least I haven't found one that doesn't involve javascript.
Well considering you usually end up getting charged $0.50-$1 per IP/month from a server provider or $5-$20/month from an ISP plus any setup fees it could be possible.
In this specific case, I have a feeling this happened due to a stupid policy made by the company/government office in regards to compliance, other than the rules about compliance themselves. In many cases companies don't have to actually run something as 508(or whichever specific accessibility law applies) compliant, they just have to have the option available for when it is necessary. And also, it is probably actually possible to make a live meeting 508 compliant, it is just doubtful that anyone would do it.
One major thing is it isn't like they would have to maintain multiple sites. You would expect a $9.5 million site to have features that can be found in virtually any content management system (free or commercial). Such as the ability to have fancy and compliant versions of the site that are generated automatically.
Another issue is even if used books are available, and the professors use the old editions, the professors have to then keep track of each book they teach with to make sure that enough used books are available once the new versions quit being sold. I suspect this is another reason why the professors just go with the newest edition.
Define small children. I watched R rated movies from a young age and it never really affected me much other than a slightly increased fear of the dark*. The main thing is parents need to realize what specific movies are ok and which aren't (I mean some older PG13 movies are now considered R rated) and what their children can handle.
*If anyone wants instructions on how to build a 100kW floodlight array with redundant backup generators please let me know and I will send you the plans for mine.
Simple solution, use a cell phone repeater and if there are any other signals you actually want (TV, radio, etc.) put the antenna on the outside of the house.
Something I don't get is why no one mentioned the option of getting a cell phone repeater (I don't think I saw it in the other article). Block all the signals except the ones you WANT coming in/out of the house. In the case of AM/FM radios most home stereos can be hooked up to an outside antenna pretty easily.
Although if they own the other tall buildings they might consider the rentability factor after too many people look out their window at the wrong time.
Make sure you have a source of bullets, powder (whichever form your particular gun uses) or it's components, etc. that is greater in quantities than people find materials to make spears, ammo for catapults, etc. with
Ubuntu has something similar but it isn't free (it is more like redhat's commercial option)
I wouldn't count on that working. Fairly decent chance of it just going by the owner/receiver of the game, not the purchaser.

They can not be bought or sold but they can be rented/leased/whatever the correct term is.
I think he means $5 more than you are paying currently
Offer carrier grade NAT along side IPV6 for when IPV6 screws up
Too bad you can't file for a restraining order against a corporation to get you out of your contract when they buy out whoever you are with

For the people walking some areas are at least working (may already have) on audio walk/don't walk signals
Especially when the company is working on subtitling videos

Till you include the packages

My $500 ethernet cable reflects them back at government spy satellites!

Then you have a whole other problem with disposing of it. (I am amazed the lead stuff hasn't been made as big of a deal about the mercury in CFLs)
Something I have wondered though is any radiation emitted from the sides/back of the CRT (tube or electronics)
