were they trade schools? if you are looking to get a degree in the Science of Computers, you should be asking if they have an "Operating Systems" course or "Networking Theory." If they teach you a language (as opposed to language design) you would be lucky. If you want a degree on how to apply the theory go to ITT Tech or spend your nights hacking in your dorm. Colleges and Universities for the most part teach Theory. Esp as an undergrad.

the riddle is too vague. how do you know what the markings are? what if they were placed there at birth? then everyone still looks the same? sounds like the makings of a witchhunt to me. burn the readheads! besides wouldnt you *know* if you sinned? then at least you rule yourself out. but how do you know if you and God's definition of sinning and yours are in agreement? sounds more like game theory then anything else.
anyway there is no way im gonna leave just because some other fucker hid his sin marking under a hat or something.
while the problem is still fscked. i do get the one day part. every villager sees every other one at least once a day. so if it takes you O(day) to check out the status of all other villagers, you are able in a day to at least know if anyone else is marked (if they are clearly marked)

huh? what year is this? LISP is groovy man, and great for some things but there are better languages out there now for general purpose programming. let me introduce you to one.
